You don't know the satisfaction of Us farmers having enough gold/de/elixir after a lot of hard work of farming. You don't know what it's like to be waiting for the upgrade to finish FOREVER. You really can't have your say about raiding for years. Try to stop gemming for at least one week. The game will be much funner, you are missing a lot on the game by just buying your upgrades.
I'll try and give some balance to this:
Gemming is done to get ahead faster. Not everyone can afford it, and some would question the ethics of dumping as much as a console costs, into a free game.
It's no ones business but yours what you spend on the game, but a big problem in the mobile gaming industry is that most games are shoveware, and from a dedicated gamers perspective, the free to play model has stripped gaming of its natural challenge, as people can just buy their way to the top. They feel this dilutes the fun of the games and lowers the quality, plus removes incentives to play if money is all that's required for a novice to reach the top,
Clash breaks the mould a bit by not having adware, is playable in blocks and rewards you as such for more than just turning up, as most ftp games sadly do. This makes it awesome and creates a genuine challenge on a level playing ground, for folks to reach the top fastest through natural play progression. They accept that everyone should contribute in some way, and the model means that the smallest number of big spenders generate the big revenue to keep the game going. However, what really gets on people's nerves is many of those people tend to brag and rub in people's faces how good they are based on their level, which of course will never yield as much experience as those who had to grind it the natural way.
So, in short, people will say gemming sucks because so many brag about being top of their game simply for having reached the highest town hall, without the experience to back it up, and often defend it by boasting how much money ain't a thing to them. This instantly lowers any credibility as a player who can face a challenge like others do.
You just gotta remember two things when faced with that flak; It's no ones business how you got there and as long as you don't go bragging how good you are or that you have tons of money, no one will give you as much of a hard time cos they'll see you're not a douche. The other thing though, is that you will never have the same credibility as non gemmed in others eyes, as you obviously will not have the experience to match them as they had to put far more hours in to get there and hence, learn a lot more of the subtleties of each level than you did, and can never go back to do.
Hi OP. I can't find any reason for you to worried over people's judgement about you whether you're a gemmer or not. If gemming is a crime, SC won't sell them in the first place for sure.
Maybe they see your base's progress is not syncroned with your profile's record achievement. If that's the case, I can only suggest you to use them efficiently. But it all goes back to you again, that money is yours and people's judgement have nothing to do with your style of playing this game. Stay clashy! :))

Personally I find it really annoying when people just spend a ton of money on a ftp game instead of actually working for it like everyone else. Only thing I gem are for boosts to go out and get more resources which is a lot more satisfying than spending $20 for a virtual upgrade.

You can't let people on global get to you man. Most of them are either trolls or 12. They are probably mad because they are premmie and have around the same GG as you but their bases suck. I wouldn't spend to much time thinking about it.
