Hey everyone,
So ive benn trying to farm lately but just haven found the best way to do it. I find myself using Giants, archers, barbs and goblems with maybe one potion. What am I doing wrong? What are the best attcks? What troops should I use?

If you are within the 1000-1900 range, I would recommend Barch. Assuming you have 4 barracks, load the first 2 with barbs and the last 2 with archers. I never use spells, but it comes down to personal preference. I usually start off the attack by deploying a line of barbarians followed quickly by a line of archers. Try to spread them out so they don't get mowed down by splash defenses.

One key to farming is to know your troop cost. If your troops cost 30,000 elixir then if a target with only 20,000 is on screen, hit that "next" button! The next button is your friend.
If you don't do this you may have glorious attacks but you will run out of elixir and not be able to attack for a while, and not gain anything for upgrading troops or campgrounds.

I typically BARCH (Barbarians and Archers) and drop 3 Barbs followed by 3 archers on every building on the outside of their walls. Which keeps the troops spread out and is typically enough to kill collectors. While using this attack strategy I typically hit people with only 100k + of the resource I want or at least 500 Dark Elixer. Also, some things to keep in mind are that the BARCH attack is more for hitting their collectors and isn't really powerful enough to penetrate their walls, so look for bases that have gravestones and lots of trees/logs/etc... It's usually a pretty good indicator that they haven't been online and most of the loot is in their mines.

I have a good joke about how to get loot, but you probably wouldn't get it.
My army comp is always 4 wizards 4 wallbreakers 86 barbs 90 arch. I farm in the gold leagues and it is quite good for finding decent loot. I use the wiz and wallbreakers for some base with a lot of storage loot which can be tough to take down with only barch mainly because of wiz towers and mortar. Send in your barb king first with wiz following and hordes of barch is usually enough to devastate a TH8 which has 3 storages each and is certainly enough for TH7. Although if I find a inactive base i will often just use my barch and keep the wiz/wb for next time.

depends what you want. if you're farming gold/elixir than the gold regions work well and various ratios of barch will get your loot in a cost effective manner.
if you're farming DE, you probably need a little extra punch. Some people use BAM (bringing minions), I personally bring a 10 minions, 4 giants, 4 wbs, and 4 hogs, 60 barbs, rest archers. its gets through a couple layers of walls and if heroes are available, gets to the core of any TH8 base. (I'm TH9). I use a heal or rage every other attack or so.
