    Tie Breaker In War!!

So I am in a constant war clan and the new bonuses have really made wars a viable way to aid in upgrading your bases and troops. The idea I have is to eliminate the ability for clans to tie. A win is great and a loss is what it is. A tie though, is basically a loss for each team. It sucks and we have tied a ton of wars. My idea is to create a tie breaker and I have an idea of how to do it but would love to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions on how to make this the best option.

A war finishes in a tie:
Then SC will give the top 5 in the clan one more attack and an hour in which to use. The stars would be cleared from the oppositions top 5 and each team gets an opportunity to attack and truly win or lose.

In in our clan, I attack 1&2 and it would be difficult for others to attack those bases but it seems similar in the clans we fight so it would give a much different dynamic and actually end in a win or a loss. Which is what wars are about.

    What do you all think?

I think there should absolutely be a tie breaker but I'm not sold on the idea of over time. Wars are long enough.

Perhaps use the some of the stats available (most attacks used, most 3 star attacks, fewest lost attacks etc...) to determine the winner. Or perhaps provide some clarity around most heroic attack/defense and use those?

Ties do suck though... it's how the house always wins I suppose...

I rather have a tie than a loss so even if the bonus equal to losing, its always better to tie than to lose

I like the "most 3 stars" idea.

I would prefer going by %age destroyed for tie breaker.

I see a lot of people end their war raid early to save the health of their heroes once they get that second star. Maybe this will make them a bit more committed to the war instead of their farming and have their heroes die on the battlefield with honor (and a few extra % destroyed).

If I want to save health of my hero I send a few healers along, that works great and with a bit luck Ill get a 100% damage, If someone would stop the battle before time in our clan they would be kicked immidiatly

Most three stars would be a good one. I know % damage would keep people fighting longer but I don't think it'd be fair to make someone lose that ability if a three star is definitely not happening. Three star attacks is the goal and how you win, so why shouldn't it literally be the reason for victory in the event of a tie? I like it

But people are forgetting that it's not that uncommon for two clans to earn the same number of 3-stars, so your tie is still a tie if you base it off of that statistic.

Whereas, if you base it off of %age destroyed, you can go to multiple decimal places, way less likely to be a tie if you think about it.

I'd kick you for bringing healers in to a war attack for the purpose of saving hero regen time.

That being said I agree that people shouldn't end it too early. It's possible that letting that hero continue on could uncover a trap that can help someone else when watching the replay.
