What is the TH10 base called/Why can we not star it!!!??

We have faced several clans with this EXACT same base. Each war, our TH10s (including myself) struggle like none other to do anything to it. Can someone please elaborate on how the heck to at least get 2*s on this base? Please include troop composition, as well as spells, and where you would start from. Thank you very much for the help.

I saw somewhere here, that this base is one of the easiest bases to destroy. How the heck is that possible..

Our top guys are contemplating of switching to it as we cannot do a dam* thing against them.

The base, and my sorry attempt with PentaGo

As you can see, golems took to the first jump (of coarse), but completely ignored the second, which was placed right in front of a core defense. Being that nothing went into the core, everything was demolished quickly.

My second attack on their #1, who has a very similar base, I tried PentaHound, nothing worked on that either and got 0.

    It is very frustrating.

Definitely not an easy base to destroy. Requires a great understanding of funneling and timing to destroy.

Here we can see that the next closest target after the Golems in the Mortar, and then the Tesla (once it's activated). The second closest is the Air Defense, NOT the Tesla. So you would expect the Golems to go from the Cannon to the Mortar then Jump into the core because of the Tesla.

However, not that the Hidden Tesla has a 6 tile trigger radius and a 7 tile attack radius. So to activate the Tesla, your troop must first be within 6 tiles of range. If the Hidden Tesla is not activated at the time of Jump Spell, then it's pretty much counted as non-existing.

But I triggered the Hidden Tesla and my Golems still avoided the Jump Spell, why?

Because of timing and spacing. In order for your Golems to jump inside core, they must first target the Mortar. Golems are weak and slow. The Pekka destroyed the Mortar, forcing the Golems to target the next closest defense, which is the Air Defense (NOT Tesla). Note Orange arrow is distance from Cannon to Air Defense and Blue arrow is distance from Cannon to Tesla. Orange arrow is shorter.

So how can safely get my Golems to go inside?

First send some Hog Riders to dispose the Air Defense. This will destroy the funnel ring and allow your Golems to focus on the Hidden Tesla after the Cannon is removed.

Is there an even safer way to get into core?

Yes. Instead of having to rely on the Hidden Tesla to activate and allow your Golems to get inside, attack from a side where there's already a defense-wall-defense cluster. From the left you can see that there's already an Xbow next to Mortar, so that would be safer to get your Golem inside. Start by first sending a few Hog Riders to remove the Archer Tower. Instead of using a Jump Spell you can just use a few Wall Breakers to break into that compartment and save a spell.

Now this base is heavily weak to Freeze Spell with all the defenses clumped inside the large core. I would say it's a must to bring at least 1 Freeze Spell for this base (I recommend 2). Once you get Golems inside, Freeze + Rage the core and it's an easy 2 star. For 3 stars, I would either save Heroes to finish the job from the other side or Hogs Riders or Loons for cleanup.

Now the base you shared is actually a weaker version of the normal version of the base. Why is this a weaker version? Because this guy broke his funnel ring with those Mortars next to the core, which would make it easier to get inside the core.

Here's a look at another variant of this base (a more potent ring):

How can I get my Golems inside this core?

This will require more effort, but pretty much the same idea:

(Note: disregard the Single Target Inferno Towers in the picture, they should be Multi)

    1. Start by sending in your Golems by breaking into the middle
    2. Golems are slow and won't be able to break through defenses quickly without the assistance of other troops, but the reason we're sending in Golems first is to distract the defenses.
    3. Once you have defenses distract by Golems, send in Hog Riders to remove the Wizard Tower and Archer Tower. This will break the ring and create spacing for the Golems to focus on the core (enclosing Infernos and Xbows) with the Jump Spell right after the Cannons, Mortar, and Air Defenses are destroyed.
    4. Once the Golems are inside with your troops, you've practically won. You'll have all the point defenses (Teslas and Xbows and Archer Towers) in that core distracted by Golems as you wreck the core with Freeze and Rage with your Wizards and Pekkas and Heroes.

    - Attack from the side where you only have to deal with 1 Inferno Tower at a time.
    - If you wish to lure out the CC and dispose it first, then you start by sending in Hogs or Loons to remove the Wiz Tower and Archer Tower first and lure the CC at the same time.

Hope this helped. This was mainly for GoWiPe attacks with Hog Riders. There are also plenty of ways to attack this base with LavaLoon.

    Good luck!

i got 98% on this base using quad gowiwi, 4 golems/10 wb/17/wiz used 1 giant to pull cc from the botton, used a archer and 2 barbs to bring over the the south east and released everything at one time. 2 rage/2 freeze/1 jump

ran out of time. 3 more seconds and would have been a 3 star

edit: cc was opposite on the one i faced so pull cc from the top

I've seen Laloon and mass witch work on this base multiple times, even 3 stars.
