TH8 into TH9 War Strat

Unlike several other unfortunate matchups, this one looks much more appealing.

I'm about 1" away from hogging the base with GiHeHo or, perhaps GoWipe/GoWiVa, but I'm debating.

The hair dryer pointed in the exact direction I want to come in with Giants/Healers causes me some pause, but I'm considering it.

Do you think the hair dryer will trash the healers from healing the giants to a significant degree?

GoHo is another possibility

GoWiPe/GoWiva the preferred attack?

Heck, I bet I could come close to dragon sniping this base too.

It sounds like you are aiming for 2+ star, but to be honest with TH8 troops, I'd be prepared to se a 2 star attack. However, you can get closest with a GoWiVa or a GoWiWiPe attack on a base; even if you only have lv1 witches.

For the GoWiVa, that core is open and ripe for some splash damages, and it will be easy to enter the base.

For the GoWiWiPe, I used that strategy for ground attacks as an alternative to a straight up GoWiWi until I unlocked troop levels for a decent GoWiWiVa.

For troops compositions:

GoWiVa- Make sure you have 2 golems and 10 valks or so. You could request 3 valks in your CC if someone in your clan has lv4's.

GoWiWiPe- I make sure I have 2 witches, 3 total pekkas, and 2 golems. Requesting a Max Pekka is probably best here.

GoWiWiVa- is still a fairly viable option without max Th9 troops, so here's a good composition. 2 golems, 7 valks, 4 witches.

For Wall breaker and wiz counts, use your best judgment. I know this is incredibly vague, but you will learn what you end up liking best as far as specific compositions and general attacking strategies go. My personal favorite attack style is a Max Level GoWiWiVa, but I attack exclusively ground-based.
