Raiding with Level 7 Giants - Strategy

Cross-over thread that wasn't getting replies in Attacking Strategies. Are people having success raiding with giants level 7? They finishing up in my lab right now and would like some tips.

My plan is to hit TH9's sitting with full storages.

What army composition do you use? I know the obvious (pack of giants, handful of wallbreakers, etc.) but are you using barbarians? Is anyone using L7 giants with L6 goblins?

What trophy range are you finding good targets at? What do your targets typically look like? Developed TH9's? Premie TH9's?

How often do you use spells? Rage or heal?

How much success do you have if your heroes are upgrading? Do you supplement missing heroes with a couple wizards?
TH 11 lvl 178 max walls; 45/45/20 heroes
    TH 10 lvl 148 91 magmas; 40/40 heroes
    TH 9 lvl 124 250 lavas; 30/30 heroes

    Currently in M3 (everything maxed):

    16 giants
    8 wall breakers
    6 hogs
10 minions (used in a few raids to kill king and ground troops in CC)
    38 archers
    37 barbs
    37 gobs

So of course your snipe TH for 100k+500 DE
On collector raids, you can tank with a few giants and send your tiers 1 troops to get the collectors
On storage raid, pull the CC, chose your side, send your giants and punch through. release gobs when your target (DE storage or gold storage) are in sight

No spell needed if you have both heroes. I use one or two when I have a hero down to make sure I have 50%.

I avoid any base with level 2-3 infernoes. There are plenty of other bases out there.

My mini do almost the same in C2 with 8 giants only. Hiding there until both infernos are level 3. Don't have maxed troops either.

To start, I am a TH9 with L6 Giants. I tend to raid in Crystal III and hit a lot of full storage TH9 bases (only a 10% penalty for you) with 20 Giants, 120 L5 archers (sometimes trade eight archers for four wall breakers). I bring all heal spells with me and find that I normally only use one.

The raids that I look for are generally min. 250k of each; there are plenty of them in CIII. This strategy has been extremely successful for me, so I can only imagine that with L7 Giants, it would only become that much more powerful and only suffering a measly 10% penalty.

    Good Luck.

I'm loving raiding with level 7 giants, they have limitations though. I've had a couple of fails today v's maxed and cleve th9 bases. Darn spring traps. But overall have been having a blast with them.

    Army comp is:
    Giants, 14
    WB, 6
    minions, 15
    Healers, 2
    Rest, Barch
    Max AQ

    Th9 farming strategy:
The strategy is to clear one side and take out 2 AD with the Giants, Barch, mins, save a Lot of barch to hopefully help core the base for later, I also take a heal to help the Giants live longer if needed. Once there is a nice clear path I spawn my queen, and then the 2 healers right on here (as soon as she has taken the first little damage).
That queen will pound the heck out of that base, use the remaining barch to help her do it.
If done right your queen will come back with full health.
The loadout takes a little under 30 minutes, so not the quickest but having your queen on every raid is magic, also have another heal a zap and jump in case something goes wrong.

    Wouldn't use this v's a Th10 though, unless they had no IT's
I hate to be a kicker,
    I always long for peace,
But the wheel that does the squeaking,
Is the one that gets the grease.
