It is the same logic with your ITs. If u build them, u will be matched with mid/max TH10 and will not have the troops to win stars on them.

Your Clan Leader job is to purchase the benefit of the clan, and not of any individual player. I am sure he will also follow the 9.5 path when it is his time to upgrade his TH.

U have to ask if you have a worthy clan before you disobbey the clan leader. I know, I have.
He himself followed the 9.5 path already

This 9.5 help us in our war matchup ♥♥ is stupid. If one of my clans members failed to start his/her infernos for more than a month after upping to TH10...GONE!!! If you don't want infernos stay at TH9. I have destroyed many maxed TH9's and several hundred inferno-less TH10's and just like rushers I laugh at the idiocrisy in both these lines of thinking.

As long as you do your spell factory I don't see infernos being a major issue. Your TH level is a major contributor in war matchmaking anyway.
When I went to 10 I did both of my infernos and spell factory asap before opting into war. We immediately started going up against two TH10s with infernos. But they weren't much higher then me defensively and I am able to two star them usually. For whatever reason they seem not to be able to do the same so far and we have won every war so far.

The knowledge of clan war matchmaking to date refutes this. Many war clans have been able to match up two clans (I would consider these Clashers the most reliable sources) and they claim town hall level plays almost no part in the strength calculation. OneHive, ClashHeads, and the various podcast clans have all explored this topic in detail.

That is your choice as a gamer but this is a team game and your choices effect others. Gamers that choose their own upgrading path and pace is great. Just also choose a clan that is accepting of that. Others in more disciplined war clans may not appreciate gamers that want to do it their own way. Clash On!!!

I would recommend trying a spam GoWiWi, it will up that percentage. I find I can 2 star most 10's in war doing this. I am only a TH9 with close to max troops, lvl13 BK and 15 AQ. Also obviously upgrading Royals will boost that percentage as well. Good Luck, Clash On!

Like a lot have already said, until you can 2 star Inferno bases yourself, you should wait.

Your leader is right. As soon as you plop those ITs down, you are going vs mid TH10 bases right off the bat with little to no chance to star well vs them.

Wait for your offense to catch up then build them.
