    th10 and infernos

Guys I have maxed my th9 and planning to go to th10 soon. And i would like to build infernos as soon as my th gets lvl 10 but my clan leader has told me not to build infernos soon as my th upgrades. He says its bad for wars. But i dont get the logic, wont infernos help defend my base better in wars? I would like to know this logic from you guys plz post your comments below, also if you can post links of good threads that explains this then plz do so. Thx. All your efforts appreciated well in advance.
Btw sorry for gramatical errors if any.

He is talking about you becoming a TH9.5. Infernos weigh heavy in war MM so if you hold off building them until you have TH10 troops it can mean you are more successful in wars. Don't listen to him though because it will also mean you get regularly wrecked in normal the multiplayer game.

There is an TH9.5 idea. You can search it on the forums here. Basically your better off for war if your offense is TH10 and your Defense is TH9.
Infernos add extra defense which means the enemy will likely have that much more offensive capabilities.
I'm doing my infernos to level 2 now and we haven't had any problems. We have won the last 4 wars or something.
The infernos help deter people from raiding you a lot and my theory is the better I can store and defend my loot the faster I can upgrade my troops.

He is your leader so do as he says. Ask him where you should put your gold. Since walls count in matchmaking now, I'm not sure he will like you to dump your gold in your walls. Maybe you can upgrade your clan castle

Upgrade your freeze as soon as possible (level 3 minimum) and whatever you are using in wars after that.

The key not to upgrade your infernos is in hope you will face weaker opponents. If your mirror match as level 2-3 infernoes, ask your leader each war if the "no inferno" tactic really work.

    Good luck

That maybe a very logical thing to do, or maybe not. If it is then forget logic, ITs rock lol

A th10 with no IT's is like a, is like a, it's like Th10 with no IT's (no metaphors needed here).

I bet your clan leader will change the rules when it's his tern to go Th10.

Sorry but completely untrue. Keep your resources spent by staggering builders and putting resources into walls. Town hall outside and completely free 100% of the time. Stay between Gold 2 and Masters 2.

I've been a 10 without infernos for a little over a month now. Have not been attacked for more than one storage.

With a good TH9 farming base design, you should be able to keep resources no problem anyway. I don't think that infernos are the end al for having your farming base raided anyway. My anecdotal evidence to this is that I am a mid to late TH9 and I probably have one real attack on me every two weeks. Will infernos better protect your base, sure, but it will not stop any determined TH9 or 10 in the end.
As for war, the TH9.5 philosophy is the way to go till you can have enough war troops fully upgraded to be able to take on a mid TH10. With this setup, you are more likely to draw a mirror TH9, or at least help the balance for the lower guys in your clan since it is an overall clan average of base strengths.
In my opinion, it's not like a TH10 can bring their infernos to attack you, so why not run the gamble that most TH10s probably don't know how to attack.

your leader is pushing you to go to th9.5(search for that for more detailed info). the theory of it is based on how matchmaking for war is done, high defensive strength draws in high strength opponents. Infernos carry the most matchmaking weight of any defense, followed by xbows, wiz towers, mortars. so by upgrading to th10 without building the new defenses makes your war weight about the same as a max th9(which will draw some th10s anyway) while giving you time to get your offensive upgrades done so you have the strength to attack th10s. since wars are won with offense, having the extra offense is more important than having the extra defenses.

however the practical application of this concept depends on your clan dynamics, if your clan has no other th10s you may not get the full benefit of doing 9.5 long term. but it is still advisable to upgrade your camps, cc, spell factory and upgrade freeze spell and war troops before you build the infernos and 3rd xbow. if you will b one of many th10s in your clan you will be able to stay as a 9.5 longer and get more upgrades done(walls, traps, heroes) before upgrading defenses becomes a priority.

Well actuall experience will always trump theory.
If I see a th10 with 400k of each and no IT's it's an instant attack same as every other red blooded Th10 farmer, just feels right to smash that base up as bad as possible
In war a Th10 with no IT's will be easy for other Th10 players to 3 star. So there really is no benifite to not getting the best defensive structure in the game, even if you may or may not get wars a tiny bit easier.
