TH 9 trophy push to champs

My friend and I are starting at gold 1 and trophy pushing for 12 hours to try to make it to champs. Are we better off using a farming base or a trophy base? I understand trying to win cups on defense, but am I better off losing a few trophies and getting a free shield for a little bit? What's your guys's opinions?

If you're only pushing for 12 hours, who cares what your base looks like
To get anywhere close you'll have to play for the full 12 hours with back to back boosts

Once you hit M2 and most people in these leagues are pushing to champs, leaving your TH out is just giving them an easier 50% two star.

If you are going to champs in 12 hours you should be attacked once. That is when they kick you out of the game for few minutes. Whether farming or trophy push base won't matter. Maybe farming will get you better chances of 1 star as you should be in masters 3 by that time. Good luck

There are a lot of TH snipers
they will press NEXT button while your base is TH protected base

Then your base will be 2 or 3 star by massive troops

I just use my farm base to get a Champion badge

I went to champs recently and I was only 3 starred once.

80% of the attacks were one stars.
20% were fails.

Those 20% that were fails, helped me get to champs.


You wont gain any trophies with a farming base.


Why make the 2 star so easy?

It's months since I pushed. That was as a premmie TH9, with TH out - and my defences were almost all snipes; hardly anyone went for the 2*. I didn't even tuck in the outer buildings closely, so 2* was fairly easy to barch, but no-one did.

I went to champs recently and I was only 3 starred once.

I'm curious what troops the attackers were using? I'd be upset if I didn't get 2* against any TH9 (speaking as a TH9 still). It seems surprising people are failing against a TH9 when nearly every available target has upgraded infernos.

I disagree with this. I found my best success pushing as a th9 to champs leaving th out In mid masters. A Few steamrolls by big boys but majority were snipes. Loot bonus is enough for most to drop a hero, snipe, get cups and move along.

I've had full out quad laloon attacks with max troops for th10 only get 1 star.
hogs, goho, gowipe, barch

surprisingly, the max barch kept getting 50% every time, it was driving me nuts.
So I kept resigning my base so more outer buildings were covered, but they still got it.

I had a lot of attacks against me. I kept breaking shields in hopes of gaining trophies from defensive wins (lol push noob).

GoWiPe was the most reliable 2*

Quad La Loon from a max th10 was the only 3 star.
It was a beauty, too. But he brought 2 freeze spells lol
