Help with lavaloonion TH 10, sorry if it's a repeated thread!

Hello I'm a TH 10. I know there might be a ton of threads about this but I'd like your personal experience! Lavaloonion and rages are maxed for me. Freeze spell is lvl 3 and I won't upgrade it soon since I use gowipe way more often but I want to learn to use lavaloon.

Anyways. The last attack I did I used 2 lavas and 24 balloons, rest minions and archers. I got a 3 star but the base wasn't even close to maxed and had lvl 1 infernos, I used ALL 5 spells and the lavas and balloons didn't finish off the defenses, the heroes did (lvl 26 and 27. ) I feel like I should've got the same result with way less.

So the question is. If I'm willing to get a 3 star, which is the better army comp for any base in general (like, in matchmaking, rather than war bases)? Quatro lavaloon? Lavas and 1 golem? 2 lavas are okay? 3? I know it depends on the base, but which one should I start with?

If I'm not willing to get a 3 star, which army comp is the best and how many spells should be the maximum so I could, say, farm with it?

Also, how do you kill the Queen so it doesn't screw up your raid? Lava pups are enough or minions if you didn't finish her off with heroes for example?

This is a problem I'm having too with lavaloonion. I have been very hit and miss occasionally 3*ing the odd near Max base but most of the time hitting 2*s with 1s thrown in there too... I tend to use 4 lavahounds, 3 rage and 2 freeze with 20 minions and the rest loons. I think timing is key with lavaloonion and of course base selection but I found a few decent YouTube videos which might help. I haven't got the link but I think I searched 'three starring champs' and it was the first vid that came up.

I would like to find a solid strategy and the perfect deployment as like I said I'm very hit and miss with it. Keep us updated with how it goes. I have seen lots of attacks with fewer minions (sometimes 0) - that may also work I'm not sure? Maybe that's worth a try? Only trouble I find are Wizards in the CC can be a pain.

For the record I don't lure with lavaloonion. Do others lure? How do you fare with your attacks with or without luring?
I'm strictly speaking TH10 only.

Im a near maxed th10 and finding it hit and miss too. However im trying the new strat using golems and heros to lure cc kill queen and possibly air defence too. Cold blooded. I trid it without my queen and dragon came out of cc. Ruined my raid very quickly. But I do think it has merit
