Let's Have Fun…NO Derby talk thread

Ok. I was just over to the "dark side" aka derby talk and finger pointing and general rudeness. Enough of that business!!

    Lets do something fun.

How about our own version of a cooking show HayDay style.

A nh friend and I were wondering about the products today. Whats in that fish pie that makes it have green specks?and the feta pie? Have they just "turned"? Yuck. Why would you make pancakes on the outdoor grill?

So what would be some real recipes for products that we could convert to the HayDay version with the raw materials we have now?

The easiest thing which came to mind first is roasted corn on the cob...do them on the grill frequently during summer cookouts.

We've made pancakes outside over a fire but you have to use a frying pan.

AsYouWish gets the LOL cooking prize in the "Hamburger" thread for her reply that the reason bacon is used is that it's a HAM-burger. Personally, I'd like to know why it takes two WHOLE LOAVES of bread to make one hamburger bun.

At this point, it would be nice to introduce a deluxe cheeseburger with all the fixin's: lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo. I can already hear everyone howling, "NOOOO! Dairy! Two sauces! Tomatoes!!"

...and THIS JUST IN...we have two applicants to compete in the Hay Day Cookoff!

I must channel my inner Homer Simpson now....mmmmmmmm...cheeseburger....

A CB deluxe with all the trimmings would certainly cause palpitations for some, MG, but we definitely could hear cries throughout the land if mac & cheese were introduced.

Pasta, milk, eggs, cheese, butter done up in the pie oven....a 3 dairy item product...just plain tortuous, no matter how delicious.

Id like to start making tomato chutney either in the jam maker or sauce maker to then put on all the burgers and sandwiches as a different tomato flavour and texture.

And lobster ravioli in a seafood bisque... so we would use lobster, pasta, lobster soup and bread (to soak up all the lovely bisque)
    And gnocchi anything....
And apple turnovers with cream... wheat and butter for the pastry and then an apple, white sugar and cream for the filling
Farm name: Poppyville - Level 99
Nh: Fun in the hay-day (now seeking active, friendly farmers to join us)
I love my daughter, husband, dog, chickens and my farm (but not necessarily always in that order)
