OP, same situation here in my clan.
We have 13 TH9s and each has at least full skull walls. On average, I’d say 75% lego and 25% skull. Average Hero levels, I’d say 12/13. Half of our TH8s have full skull walls and the rest are working on walls as well. In our last 2 25vs25 clan wars post update, we were matched against 3 properly developed TH10s. Each of these TH10s has at least lvl5 golems, lvl6 wizards, lvl4 freeze spells, and some other maxed TH9 technologies. All their TH10s has at least lvl2 duo inferno towers and lvl3 trio X-bows. All their other defence buildings are at least max TH9 level. Their Average TH10 and TH9 hero levels are 9/9 and wall levels are 50% purple/50% pink.
Only 3 extra TH10s you say? But please keep in mind that these are 25vs25 wars, my clan has no TH10 at all and their TH10 are not rushed meaning they can 3 star our top TH9 easily and we need a lot of luck to 2 star any of them.
I feel you TS, after the update we got match up twice with th10 with infernos luckily we won on both wars by only 2 points. BTW We don't have th10 on our clan. This new match up will bring you a much tougher war every now and then. Good luck buddy
That's the issue non rushing, non TH10 clans now face. There is more to it than just it being a TH10 vs your maxed TH9. That TH10 gets to load war castles with higher troops, gets to donate a higher lvl pekka, hound or wiz to CC's going into battle...and also gets his two shots in with more troops, better troops and a fifth spell...just because you happen to have stronger walls and hero levels that are a little higher.
Tough spot, not sure SC can really do much more about it. I'm sure the algorithm for MM is so complex now...any little tweak they do will offset it elsewhere and you will have a different issue to deal with.

Honestly, our matches have been pretty even since the update. many times in the past have we been matched against clans with more th10s, even when we have no th10s on the war roster, just not since the update.
Maybe its just your turn to get the shaft?
Its not a now thing, it was like this pre update. If u r a maxed th9 go to th10 and you'll just crush the rushers. Trust me it's fun lol

I feel ya this MM is beyond horrible!! Truly thinking about benching my near maxed TH9 (lavas and heroes) and gemming up a defenseless wall less TH 7 to war with until i hit 9.5! Our last war that ended today they had 6 to 3 TH10 maxed attacks we did end up winning by one but only because they lost like 7 attacks to the fluffy bunny (0% full timer) 1 of their dudes did it twice haha just funny to watch scrubs get what they have deserved for soo long!
Max out hero not a good thing
Currently 2 th10 faced with 5 th10
Not very sure how they factor in the hero weightage
No wonder many ppl refuse to max out heroes and leave it at lv 15
