It's a simple question of which I'm not sure the answer...

When you are upgrading a Hero, why can you simply not use it at its non-upgraded level during Clan Wars? If I was upgrading a dragon it would not prevent me from TRAINING dragons to attack with, I simply train lower level dragons (non-upgraded).

When defences are upgrading they are simply available at the non-upgraded level during Clan Wars.

What is the motivation for taking Heroes 'offline' during upgrade?

Because Supercell views Heroes as buildings instead of troops, but it seems very likely that Supercell is trying to figure out a way to make it that heroes will be available for war when they are being upgraded.

SC makes a lot of $$ from people gemming their heroes. Nothing wrong with that though. I keeps the game free to download and play for probably the vast majority of us.

You people are in so much denial its laughable, you really think Supercell would take that big of a hit if they gave us our heros during war? It would not even dent there profits. People need to do a little something called googling before deciding to comment on posts.

What Town Hall level are you?


While obviously we dont have any stats, Id imagine a LOT of gems are spent waking up heros for attacks, especially for TH9 and Th10. For those two town halls, having at the very least one but preferably both Heros available is so incredibly crucial for a decent war attack.
