No, I gotta say you were going to be 'tetchy' anyhow. Although you claim you came here not to complain, not to change things, you have done both starting with your original post. And you have been spoiling for a fight ever since, that's why you have treated people pointing out a few facts as personal attacks.

Despite your claim that you were seeking discussion that is not true either. You did not want discussion at al, you wanted sympathy and agreement with your complaints, you wanted to hear that everyone was going to get behind you and the changes you were trying to push. You rejected discussion as soon as you got mad at hearing points and facts that did not go along with what you wanted to hear. Instead you considered anything other than what you wanted to hear as personal attacks. That is not the actions of a person seeking discussion so lets not kid here.

Guys did explain why your topic and suggestion are bad ones, they did not just rag on it, they gave you the facts. You have responded as a person that sees having those facts presented as personal attacks.

So yeah, you are tetchy. You were going to be tecthy if you got any response other than someone in authority saying 'we are on it'.



Oh for gosh sakes, get off your high horse please. You can post, you are just hoping someone says otherwise so you can fight about it. As you post, try to come up with new ideas that would improve the game. To simply rehash old ones and further beat an already long dead horse is not doing that. No it is not your fault that this got discussed into the ground before you. But you should still have more respect for that point than you do and certainly should not have that chip on your shoulder. The fact that you approached this with such a chip on your shoulder gives the appearance you already knew you were doing the wrong thing and were just daring anyone to say so.

The fact is that the people in authority have already said it is not a problem (and being the ones that decide what the game is going to be and then make it that way their opinion is the one that counts) and not something they plan to make changes over. That is the reason why folks see further whining and further pushing of things that they already said they were not going to do as just spamming old ideas. And spamming just takes up space that could go to newer ideas that might actually help solve something that is a problem. (Which zapping is not, sorry)

The entire base of your comment is simply INCORRECT.

I have spoken on MANY occasions saying how zapping is a part of the game - how it offers the only real form of revenge for a TH8 being destroyed by a TH10 - hitting them where it hurts (The DE storage).

I AM NOT COMPLAINING ABOIT ZAPPING.

I have said it many times and it appears I will continue to do so. I was simply offering an idea in the interest I what peoe talk about.

I have zapped previously for extra DE. I will do so from time to time so employing this idea would NOT benefit me.

I cannot make it any clearer.

PS: If I was simply about 'people getting behind me' due to insecurities in my life do you REALLY think I would have pursued this argument?!

The majority of comments have been about how I should not have created this thread - NOT about the SUBJECT it was created about. Herein lies my 'Tetchyness'. If everyone stopped by and said "I don't like your idea for reasons X, Y and Z" I would not have a problem. But we haven't bothered to do that because we were too busy playing law enforcement of the sandpit.

Okay, so with people complaining about DE zapping since forever, rather than inventing a new tower to protect your resources how about Hidden Teslas can be placed near / around valuable storages and attract the lightning / absorb the brunt of the damage?

The root of it (at least for me) is not that someone stole your DE, its the sleazy/cheap/coward way in which they stole it.

They didnt work for it but breaking through your defenses in a smart attack. When someone breaks through and steals my DE I actually tip my cap to them in respect.

Twice yesterday I had no shield. During those periods of time the following happened before I finally got a shield:

• 1st time: out of all the defenses 5 people lightning struck me for nearly 6500 in DE
• 2nd time: 4 of the defenses people used lightning to take a little over 4000 in DE

Do you think its fair for me to say it's also cheap and cowardly for level 80+ players to hang out in silver, or 90+ players to hang out in gold? Isn't it also a bit out of balance when a TH10 is flattening TH8s with nothing but archers and barbarians and getting a lot better return on the elixir they're spending than someone zapping DE with lightning? And wouldn't it also be out of balance if the TH8 couldn't zap the TH10, since they'd basically have no way of recovering any resources, and there would be no downside for higher THs artificially lowering their trophies and going after easy bases?


This isn't really directed at you personally since you aren't really one of the complainers, but when you choose to drop trophies, that is the tradeoff. The low level players have to have some way to attack you, and zapping your DE is pretty much all they got, so if you're having a problem with it, it's a problem of your own creation. And the solution, as any number of people have said plenty of times, is simple too...go up to at least 1900 trophies, where players are less likely to be zapping your storage, and your TH is actually worth sniping if you choose to put it out, reducing the amount of time you'll be sitting without a shield. You can still loot there too, and you'll actually make DE faster, since the higher you go the more plentiful it tends to be.

I guess I don't think about it much because I'm always in crystal or master and almost never get zapped....players up here just don't do it because you don't come across many bases with THs out, and it would take too long to win back your trophies if you were doing it consistently. I've also only done it a handful of times, when I'm trying to get the last few thousand or hundred DE for an upgrade as quickly as possible.


I don't know how I feel about the update or how exactly it has changed the zapping or other situations, but I'm actually getting a lot more TH8s than I was before (I'm TH9, and at 2500 trophies right now), some of which have a decent amount of loot, but most of which are several hundred trophies below me. I suppose this is a good thing, in that it makes it so players can sit at a higher trophy level and still see more of the easier bases. Before, I'd drop to crystal 3 every so often and then climb back to masters, but now I feel like I can probably just stay in crystal 1 or master 3.
