Champion League - Loot Bonus Farming

These are my current thoughts as TH9 in 3100-3200 champs.
- Takes about 2-3 days to push from Gold.
- There are VERY few snipes
- There are VERY few collector raids
- Typical loots without loot bonus is 300/300/2500
- For loot bonus add another 180/180/1200
- Most TH9's you encounter are fairly developed (pretty much all the common war bases), unless you are very lucky
- You will spend time nexting, so boosting barrack is a waste of time. Spell factory is only thing needed.

The army I am currently using is GiHeHo:

- 3 healers, 18 hogs, 8-10 wizards (most in CC), 3 wall breakers, ~12 giants - (This takes ~24 mins to train, maybe less as you need to factor in mins nexting...)
- 18 hogs is roughly 1200 DE, so loot bonus pays this. Find bases with 2500+ DE.
- The only spell you need is RAGE (sometimes JUMP)
- Heal spells not needed with surgical hogging.
- AQ is needed, King is not.

IMO, this works a lot better than GiBarch and you can 3 star very strong bases with max loots.

Overall, with barracks boosting your still going to earn far more in Silver/Gold league as there is far less nexting. If your not barracks boosting I think its pretty close.

If your bored of barch, bam, gibarch, I highly recommend GiHeHo in Champions (3100-3200). Not only can you practice war attacks but you can farm at same time. Also your heros are likely to stay alive longer due to Healers so no boosting needed apart from Spell Factory.

BUT, I found something different for a TH9, which is the ultimate loot bonus farming. :P

Push to master 3 (2600 trophies) and then drop to above 2500 trophies. You can find a snipe every 3 minutes (sometimes it takes 5 minutes and sometimes it takes 20 seconds but on average it's 3 minutes), meaning you can get 2 million resources (of each) and 10,000 dark elixir in an hour. Much better than collector raids.
You can also find full drills sometimes, so my record is 100,000 dark elixir in a day (Yeah I played a lot that day hehe :>). My king and queen are currently upgrading (The queen will be done in 4 days and king in 6 days and I'm almost full again lol),
Tried to push to master 2 and then drop to above 2700 trophies, but then I could find a snipe every 5 minutes, resulting in 1.44 million resources (of each) and 6,000 dark elixir in an hour.

So for a TH9 - ABOVE 2500 TROPHIES WITH MASTERS 3 BADGE IS THE SWEET SPOT.

I'll push to champions league just for the 2000 gems, but then I'm going back to high crystal 1.

Being a TH9, I'll have to try that. Thanks! I can attest from being in champs rn, the sub-3200 hasn't been doing so well :-(

Same for me, was at about 3030 trophies (as Th8), was very difficult to find a snipe (indeed, like 10 minutes).

I've dropped to 2500-2600 and it's way better!

I've been doing this as a th9 for a few weeks and it works fine. Without heroes (both upgrading at same time because I maxed de storage) I get about 2.5M combined gold/elixir and 5k de per hour unboosted. I leave th exposed untrapped and get sniped 90% of the time. Most of the actual attacks fail to reach most of my loot.
Recommend not trapping th to avoid annoying th10s who are happy with just the cups and league bonus.

I second this. It works, just not as well as I imagine it does for TH7 and TH8.

I'll give a specific data point. I recently pushed to test baraklevy's loot claims about loot. I went from 1767 trophies to Master 3 as a TH9 with 205 camp space, level 5 barch, BK7/AQ1, and 4 spells. I kept 2 rage/2 heal for teslas. Everything was a snipe except two I cleaned up for 50% after the snipe due to loot.

Time was
Gold I: 52 min (1767 to 2000)
Crystal III: 58 min
Crystal II: 92 min
Crystal I: 140 min (60 min first half, 80 min second half)

5:40 total. Earned 3.2M gold and 4.7M elixir (loot wasn't great, but it hardly counts as nothing at 1.4M combined/hr) There was some chatting and a bit of downtime, but not much. Overall it took 125 ish snipes.

I had 23 in the last 100 minutes in mid to upper C1 (2466+), so baraklevy's claim of one per 3 minutes isn't that far off. I may have been unlucky that I only had 14/hr instead of his reported 20/hr. I'll have more data in a bit when I actually go farming.

This method is good if you don't want to x4 gem barracks, or if you want to have the champ badge.

Silver farming is still the best loot in the game. But usually requires you to x4 barracks boost to reach its full potential.

I started 4 builders yesterday on a 2 hour gemmed barracks session. It was Level 9 to level 10 archer towers at 2.5 mil each. That's 5 mil gold an hour to start all 4 of those!

So again - This method is great if it fits your play style. If your Playstyle is a bit more hardcore, or expending a little $$$, then silver is the place for you.

Personally, since the inceased win bonus, I make half my loot from league bonus. (as a TH10).
All I do is snipe THs and easy farm raids with simple troops. I usually hang out somewhere between C1 and M1.
It's very effective for me, I have no loot issues whatsoever.

I think the strategy of the OP is really interesting ! Will try it with my Mini TH9 Account.

Yes it does seem like a good plan to max everything, but if anyone ever looks at your profile they'll see your GG and EE is really low since they don't account for league bonuses. That'll most likely lead to them assuming you're a gemmer which gets annoying when you're not.

Good idea in theory but bad if you want a decent looking GG.

GG doesn't mean much. I know a player with a GG of 40m and a very nice Level 115 Th10.
he plays COC since day one, only ever collects from his mines and pumps though...plays a few clanwars at times.
I also know people who farmed up their village before Supercell introduced the Gold Grab in the profile.
So, a low GG can be very deceiving and not have much meaning.

I just had a horrible session the other night where I twice lost Masters badge due to accidental troop dropping. Over the course of a 5 hour period I went from 2500 -> 2600 twice with 50 wins. Only 10 snipes/hr.

Also, I'm attempting to push my TH8 up through the same region (Crystal 1) and it's a totally different experience. TH9's I get in matchmaking are in low Crystal 2 and below, no good trophy offers and very few TH outside. I could make the climb if I actually got bases to attack, but over 3 hours I made almost no progress.
