Level 50 struggling with crystal league, need help

My base is level 50 at the moment and I have managed to get to crystal league. I currently have 2132 trophies (had 2174 2 hours ago ) and I can't progress into crystal II. Since im 40-50 levels lower than the majority of the people in my league, I get raided A LOT and lose between 17-33 trophies each time.

My usual troop mix consists of:
-20 giants (L4)
-1-2 healers (L2)
-6 wallbreakers (L3)
-rest are archers (L4)
-Barbarian King (L1 (only used when necessary))
-CC troops (usually L4-L6 archers (only used when required))

Strategy:
Giants are spawned next to the closest AD, wallbreakers sent to break walls, giants take out AD, healer(s) spawned, archers spawned in waves of 10-20.

This tactic has worked well up until i got into crystal. Bases are much more advanced compared to gold and below and those pesky X-bows make mince meat of my giants. I struggle to barely make 50% on the lower grade TH9 bases.

So my question is what are some better alternatives? I'm not really into gemming, so I'd prefer if I wasn't told to "gem some dragons".

stay out of crystal until you upgrade your village/troops

Obviously you should upgrade your troops and your camps. By the looks of it you've hit the wall in relation to the trophies you'll be able to obtain.

I would recommend to farm for a week or two, get the above suggestions done and give it another shot.

Exactly. There is only so much you can do with TH7 troops, I was in a similar situation on our last trophy hunt. After 2000 trophies, it's a struggle.

Why would u want to be in the crystal league anyway? Its not like having a lot of trophies gives u free gold for upgrades anyway.. No offense

Doesn't hurt to work towards something + you're able to get into better clans. It's just more of a challenge than raiding people much lower than you.

For me, my goal has always been to upgrade all defences to mac before upgrading your town hall. There is not much reason to build trophies until your at least level 9 Town hall. there is better farm lower trophy count. Keep low and make you base and troops amazing and then push once your ready.
