    New Dark Troop: The Bard

The bard would be a dark troop working similarly to the healer, but rather than healing, the bard inspires units to move more quickly and deal slightly more damage with her song. The bard is purely a support troop dealing no damage and should be a flying unit (perhaps riding the back of a Wyvern) as to not be impeded by walls. Just as a healer, the bard would require 14 housing spaces and, although these numbers are certainly negotiable, I would think something like the following affects would not be too overpowering (or maybe they would):

Bard Level 1: 500hp +10% bonus to speed and attack

Bard Level 2: 600hp +15% bonus to speed and attack

Bard Level 3: 840hp +20% bonus to speed and attack

Bard Level 4: 1176hp +25% bonus to speed and attack

I hope you will give the bard fair consideration. I believe it would prove to be a unique as well as useful addition to any raiding party. Thanks for reading, as well for this platform of idea exchange. Keep up the great work!

    Cheers,

There no need of dark healer. Dark troops already have good hitpoints

No, not a healer. It would be like a healer, but with a rage spell. I think.
My best threads: The Overseer, Flying Shark,Shockwave Spell, Empusa, FLAMEingo

Not a healer; a bard. It buffs troops with speed and attack rather than healing damage. think traveling rage spell, just not quite so powerful, but would last until it gets taken down by defenses rather than timing out.

You got it right, Theking8133. The bard would work like a nerfed traveling rage spell. What do you think? Bards are pretty common characters in a lot of role playing games and CoC seems to have just about every troop type covered. the affects could be stackable, so running a couple bards with s couple of healers on a gang of Giants may make giant/healer a viable strategy in higher level game play. All in all, I think the bard would offer quite a bit of utility.

It's NOT a healer; it's a bard. Think nerfed traveling rage spell.

The stats seem to be a little OP, but I think it's a good idea to add such a support troop. Only one thing: A bard wouldn't really fit in the dark barrack with evil troops. The idea is nice, but the name should be changed

Thanks for checking out my thread and posting some thoughts. The stats may be a little op, it will definitely require some testing, but I like the general idea for the troop. There are open spots for new troops in the dark barracks is why I recommended it be a dark troop. I never considered dark troops evil and as far as the name goes, well, it's a bard; that's what they do. I didn't make up the name, but I honestly don't care what it is called, so long as it buffs my troops. We can call it the sinister siren if it makes you happy 😀

I think that this troop idea is like the Volcano Mage Idea that has like 466 views on it haha so if you want a troop like this. It's getting pretty popular on that Thread 😀
