Start by reading the stickies at the top of the page. Many players have put a lot of effort into writing these guides for new players.

also, go to the section. New Players Guide.

You say you are level 40-50 - there's a lot of difference between level 40 and level 50 so your strategy might need to evolve over that ten level span.

We all have our own way of playing so I can only speak for myself here. I very rarely sell anything other than wheat and drop items unless barn space is tight. I wheat for several hours on and off during the day as time allows and sell my wheat for one coin. All drop items that I don't need for my own use are sold at full price. I try to expand my barn and silo as often as I can and also upgrade town buildings so they make more coin and xp. I rarely bother with the board and only sell wheat to the little people. Other than my sister, I don't know other players so don't know how many coins others have at any given level but I had over a million coins before I reached level 50, even after buying all machines as they became available, 5 smelters and a few upgrades to the lobsters and ducks.

I buy 1 coin wheat from people like Farmerzumi and sell it to the farm visitors for a vast profit.

Welcome to the forums, HayDayGirl! If you are already past level 40, you've probably discovered a lot of the tips we can share, but there is always something here to help your farming.

Momx15 is absolutely right! Go to the New to Hay Day forum (even though you aren't really new) and check out the sticky guides there and at the top of this forum. They will help you fine-tune all the aspects of the game that you mention, and they are a compilation of all the best threads on your topics. If you have a specific question, it helps to use it as the title for your thread. You will get more targeted responses.

Finally, your spelling is fine! We're here to help; there's no 'grading' in Hay Day.

I really need to read those guides myself. I didn't even know the forum existed until recently and just developed my own play style. I bet there will be lots of face-palming when I see that I could have done things in a simpler way!

I would also search for the "Things I wish I'd Known" type threads. there are about 3 of them around. They have a lot of stuff that will have you face-palming.
