This a well known bug. It used to occur during maintaince breaks and would increase the level of a troop if its upgrade finished during the maintainence break. I believe they stopped this from happening again (or greatly reduced the number of cases) but it is a very lucky break for thise who had this happen to them.

Haha...seen this many times. When I was at lv 7 th, I was upgrading my Wall Breakers to lv 4. Then came an update on the app and when I came back, they were lv 5! My clan freaked out. Wish it were lv 5 archers But now I'm at lv8 th, so everything is normal.

i think its a h4ck many people somehow figure out how to get what they want in the game my friend almost went to jail because he is such a h4cker. He has h4cked so many games. He h4cks a lot on this game.

This used to be a massive bug. Whenever there was an update and people were upgrading troops, I believe EVERYONE skipped at least a level, when the upgrade was done. Th3 people could get level 5 archers.

Apparently his has been patched by supercell, so its very rare, but sc never went and undid it.
