Thanks for starting this thread! I am having a lot of fun reading all the replies. I didn't know the trick to let Tom sit!

Omg, I have been trying to create a large flock (herd? School?) of frogs and I had no idea how the ponds worked! Thank you! Already have very nice results after just 5 minutes! Yay!

[QUOTE=carinamw87;4435223]So being a a 2 year Vet of Hayday i thought i knew it all, knew the game inside & out, knew the tricks of the trade, settled comfortably in & hayday'd away... (please bear in mind i hadn't frequented the forums yet)

Until last month (i would like to stress 2 years playing, and LAST month realisation)

..sitting there moaning about yet another annoying boat order....Butter,Potato bread & Sugar..... vented to my then NH about it to which the following reply came

"i just send those off when they come in, too annoying to do" *Whips around* pardon, what do you mean send them off.....

I didn't know that you could send a boat order off, untouched if you didn't want to do it

i had completed every boat order with my own blood, sweat & tears because i didn't know this....

I would like to know if theres anything in hayday, that you didn't realise, you didn't know, until you actually knew about it..

think long and hard, don't make me look really silly with my post being the only one ha...ha...ahem......

The floor is yours.........(stop pointing & laughing at me)

Maybe this will save any future embarrassment for any other players

This happened to me today regarding the Derby. I shall try and explain:-
I have reluctantly been kicking members who have not participated in the Derby for 2/3 weeks (I always leave room for holidays, sickness etc) however, I suddenly found out there was no need to do this. Let's say there are 4 members who don't participate, just ask the members in question to leave NH before Derby starts and rejoin afterwards. This way you can keep members who help with watering or tasks but don't wish to participate and your NH are joined up with teams of equal people who are. (Ok so this is logical when you think about it) Yes the easiest option is to have an opt in/ out button but Supercell haven't as yet given us this option. The only drawback is the person leaving NH then rejoining can't claim the prizes which is a shame as they have contributed in their own way. This would also work for holidays etc.

Never have my music on so definitely didn't know this

But my revelation today is that when I'm in my RSS and it gives me options at the bottom (left and right) to go to GC friends farms..i didn't know it actually did it in order (level up if you click right goes next farm friend level up and left farm friend level down)...I thought it gave me random suggestions from my list...

No more *clicking on friend pane* choosing the farm *Clicking their RSS* nothing, *clicking friend pane* next one up the list...

Im flying through all my friends RSS like buzz lightyear now...To Hayday!....AND BEYOND!!

    Supercell

    OK. (deep breath). Confession time.

Not directly related to game play. I downloaded HD a year ago. Had previously never heard of the game and certainly not the company. Every time the game loaded I wondered why anyone would name a company something so unwieldly as Sup. Erc. Ell. It wasn't alliterative. It didn't roll off the tongue. At all. I would look at it and think "maybe it's in another language". Wondered what it meant in that language. No lie. It was months...months!...before it dawned on me that it was Supercell.

Honest to God, my parents did send me to school and I did graduate...

It took me a couple of weeks to decide not to list that as one of my bigger mistakes.... I too did EXACTLY the same thing......you are not alone!
