I had my town open for almost a month before I realized you could serve more than one visitor at a time in the shops. I thought they were just like all the other production buildings, one at a time...til I accidentally served the person second in line. *sigh*
I love my puffy bees when you touch them in flight, like they are allergic to us! Lol
No guide as such but if you leave an item in your tray at the side of the road right around the time his time is about to expire, if you leave it there then when you do finally collect it then it will ask you if you want to rehire for the discount again. Some people do this if they are out of diamonds but know they can buy some again in a few days and dont want to sacrafice the extra 10 diamonds it would cost of they collected straight away before they were able to purchase diamonds againOriginally Posted by blakeas

Been playing for a year and just discovered than when you stack the last items you made are on the BOTTOM of your stack!
Intuitively it makes perfect sense. Don't know why I expected they were always on the top.
I don't know if it is of interest to anyone.. but I have always double tapped the gifts in town to receive them. I only recently discovered that if you tap the building or the visitor, you can receive the gift with one tap. I noticed this playing on my new ipad. I've always played on my ipod and iphone before. I think the small screen made me not even try. I find it quicker and easier.
Also, I knew that there are more ads in the dd on the ipad but now that I can see it, it does really make a big difference. I've never really liked shopping in the dd but now it's a lot more fun and easier to find items that you want with more ads.
Edit. Now that I tried it out, I think if you tap anywhere else except the gift itself you skip the animation and receive it instantly. lol.

If you tap the flying blackbird, he loses feathers and veers off track! My son like to touch the screen as I play (very annoying!) and discovered this.
Embarrassing to admit, but I played for months believing that you could only sell one item every five minutes. I mistakenly thought that "Free Ad in 4 min 32 sec" meant that you had to wait that long before selling another item.

Cat kiwi, I do love tapping the birds and watching as they look dumb. I have figured out that when increasing that price on any item, it goes faster over time to save time.
And still no one appears to be as stupid as I was when I first started playing! Oh dear. When I loaded HayDay I didn't watch the tutorials properly. For about 3 months I didn't know that you could make your own crop seed! I was penniless because I thought you had to buy the new 'seed' from the dd. Finally I counted my production realised it increased and started saving money!

Yes, you can see through the windows. Does anyone know that in beta hay day it was possible to post more than 10 of any item in a offer. I've seen 18 carrots, 54 soybeans, 62 wheat, 21 sugar cane, and 23 diamond rings all on separate occasions in 1 post.
