    You can pinch your screen to harvest crops.

    This is actually something that annoys me so it is something I try to avoid. But, pinch zooming over crop fields harvests them.

    One I couldn't believe but have done now a few times, is to free up barn space by spending 8 to 12 diamonds. I think it is 8 for building and silo expansion items and 12 for land expansion items. Here is how it works, I will take land expansion as an example. If you need 35 mallets, land deeds, and marker stakes to expand a plot and you get 34 of say mallets, you can spend 12 diamonds for the last mallet. The 34/35 for mallets will be changed to a green check, the mallets are used from your barn and you then only need to complete the 35 for land deeds and marker stakes at a later point to expand that plot. The same concept works for building, silo and town expansions, I think. It frees up barn space and helps towards getting that plot cleared at a later point. If you are constantly hitting barn space limit, which I often am and especially when at lower levels, this can be a few diamonds well spent. But do it before you hit the 35 in the example. If in the example above you have 35 or more of the said LEM, you cannot apply the 35 from your barn but have to wait until you actually expand to fill the mallet order.

    Also, didn't know for a long time that one can win 8 diamonds in the treasure chest on the water in town. That is better than the diamonds one can win from a chest in the main farm.

    Message board on main farm for town gives a green check mark when all current townies in town are served, and a smiley face if all possible townies are served (say 42 of 42).

    The green check is actually telling you you have all the items townies want, not that they have been served.

    It took me ages to realize that the donkeys lined up with the cows and that the rest of the pets lined up with the sheep. And that the Eggspress train also lined up with the sheep. My life was so much better once I finally put all of that together!

    Hi Raelet;

    Could you explain what this means? I don't understand.

    Thanks!

    EDIT: Oh, wait! I bet you mean in terms of timing, like the way I use indigo as a timer to let me know when Tom's awake.

    I didn't realise that you could feed townies via town hall. Only recently learnt that little gem and now enjoy stacking ready townies for the derby. Happy Days!

    Be careful when you decide to line an area with small pine trees or anything that requires coin.

    the cost is progressive and my next small pine tree will cost me 65,000

    LOL, the following image just popped into my mind: The sheeps are lining up parallel to the tracks as the train pulls into the station.

    IIRC, it was more than a few months after playing the Town when I learned to go straight to the Townhall to see which visitors were ready and to direct them where I want them to go when the Eggspress and Personal Trains dropped off more visitors.
