Basically Supercell removed the elixir using walls on TH7 and put it ONLY on TH9. Now, we can now use elixir again to UPGRADE the walls from TH7. Is it a BUG? or SUPERCELL put it back again???

I heard that it was unintentional and that they'll fix it soon in a maintenance update unfortunately. Or maybe it's the surprise they were talking about. I really hope it stays haha.

If you guys want to totally remove the loot from TH8- then it should stay.
It was removed simply because 20% of 200000 or 500000 is nothing and if you constantly upgrade your Walls you would never have loot to be steal.
Walls 9 cost 1000000, which gives 200000 loot at its peak.
On TH8, managed to use all the elixir that was overflowing from my storages to build a few lvl 8 walls. Before the changes were reversed. On TH8, elixir is always over abundant and pretty much useless.

IMHO, I'm glad it was unintentional and they switched it back. Back when you could, elixir became a luxury, making it more difficult to turn profit on raids.
