Mass drags and lavaloonion are overkill attacks, the air sweeper might change that. Attacks are already overpowered, it is time for something powerfull in defence. This thing is really powerfull, much more than overrated xbows tbh

This sucks for those who put all their resources into air offense. But since the air sweepers only point one way, hopefully it will be possible to plan for a 2 or 3 star air attack. Otherwise air attacks will become a thing of the past and then coc will have to nerf some other type of alleged "OP" attack.

I'm sorry but I AM TH7 and I love this idea! So excited! However if supercell allows you to build more than one at higher TH levels then air attacks are ruined forever. If not then it is because TH7 has no chance against drags now they have a tiny bit of hope. However for the guy that was talking about the direction thing you are wrong. Actually play the game. They only can shoot ONE way so if you have it at the bottom and someone is stupid enough to attack you with say dragons from the bottom they WILL get pushed however if they attack from the top when you have your sweeper on the bottom they will destroy the whole base and then destroy the sweeper from its blind side without getting affected by the sweeper.

I've been reading loads of negative comments on this new update so far and the thing has only been done for less than 3 hrs lol. I'm not saying that I like the update or that I don't like it. I see points on both. Yes it is awful that this update will effect th8 dragon based attacks and th9&10 lavaloon. But I do have to say I sure would like to see it fix the th7 dragon/lightening attack that doesn't even have any need to include cc troops or any type of deployment planning what so ever and get the 3🌟 100% of the time. Yes there was I guess u could call it a formula to follow to ensure the 3, but any time u can use 3 light spells on an air d and then "close your eyes and touch the screen on the other side opposite of the light drops and b ensured of a 3🌟 war raid!!! I mean come on something had to b done to fix that. Yes this will effect some players/clans more than others but it will effect us all in some way. And if it fixes what I mentioned above I think its worth giving it a chance.☺💨🐲

I just don't see what the point of designing a new air defense building if that would b all u would have to do to counter it. Now I guess it could b that easy but if so it wasn't thought out very well what so ever. I do know that it targets in 120 degree rotations so that will only cover 1/3 of a base if the structure is centralized. Could b possible that placement could play a factor in its efficiency? Nothing is known for certain at least not by very many so we will all see soon!!
If the base is perfectly symmetrical then yes, attack from opposite side. However, I suspect people will begin putting high air defense on one side and the air sweeper and lower defenses on the other, making the overall base much stronger against air attacks.

Not gonna matter much at TH7 vs. Mass Drags, but at TH8 vs. L6 Air Def, uh oh.......
good thing I started upgrading hogs on my TH8, will be going to L3, just 1 more upgrade.
More worried about redesigning my war base, gonna be a pain for the next couple of wars.
this will be interesting indeed, hopefully it deters the mass dragons but as mentioned the angle of engagement may still be the saving grace.

Attacking towards the AS will slow down forces and give more time for air defenses to go to work.
Attacking from the opposite side doesn't negate the effectiveness - it deters the enemy from attacking from that direction. This will inspire new base layouts with potentially heavier AD/Traps on opposite side of AS. This will also inspire new attack strategies.
This is an evolving game - I think this is a great update that is doing just that... "evolving".
You cannot really argue the fact that most air attacks, mainly on TH7 and TH6 are OP. I can't wait to watch a war where my fellow clan mates aren't getting run over by dragons again and again.
I will say its not the best looking object in the game haha, but great job Supercell keep it up!
