The time it takes to make cheese, goat cheese, jams, pies, cakes, flavored popcorn, ice cream, sugars, etc...we need less time to make product to sell...only produce is been sold bcuz it's the only extras we have...Time must be reduced so the game can become fun again searching the paper...not working for me and a lot of complaining from my neighborhood of 30...
I don't believe it is the time it takes to make some things, that is the reason the newspaper has been selling more crops lately. Take brown sugar for instance. That only takes 17 mins, yet very rarely in the shops, and when it is, I buy it immediately.
The reason for the recent change in the newspaper is the derby and the increased demands on products, when you are doing a town or truck derby task.

Exactly my point...example: brown sugar u never find, why? Bcuz u need it to make other things so there's never any left over to share...then u manage to save some by not cooking up things and then it comes up in the boat orders and ur helping everyone with outrageous amounts of brown sugar...u never recover, it's boring...and after playing 2 years u already know it's not in the paper so u lose interest...even if u hire Tom, the amount of brown sugar u need every 2 hrs ur just buying brown sugar...
I regularly cast off sugar and dairy boats - there is no obligation to fill any of them. I don't sell sugar because I make a better profit by selling cakes / ice cream. If people want to see more products in the paper they need to put them there.Originally Posted by Ddgirl0611

The newspaper presents a representative sample of what's out there. If you wait for a refresh, you get different ads.
That's why my suggestion was to allow us to search all of DD and not what's presented to us. DD has space for only 53 ads. We have more players than this.

Searching the DD has been ruled out.
Regardless of what else goes on, the ads in the DD are from the players and most players to not place ads on the good stuff. Some do, yes of course, but the majority try to place it on something that does not sell quickly so the ad stays on longer.

Even if the search hadn't been ruled out, the outcome would still be the same basically. You'd most likely get an empty search result.
Each one of us knows exactly how often we sell sugar or cream, I'll venture to gamble it is almost never. So long as plsyers arent selling these items they will remain hard to buy.
The DD is a great resource if you use it as it is and don't expect it to be something its not.
There are something's I rarely grow because they are so prevalent in the newspaper.
Chili Peppers, indigo and Strawberries for example. I also go there for extra wool when my own supply has run out.
These things I am pretty sure of finding so its not nearly as stressful as looking for, say cheesecake.
And while I am shopping I am certainly keeping an eye out for goodies. Like sugar, dairy, fruit.
Hit a wonderful jackpot today! Scored 80 raspberries and 80 blackberries! I picked up every bin as the farmer was putting them out.
Some people would say that makes me greedy but I don't care. If it's advertised I am going to buy it. And the farmer continued to put them out knowing that I was still there buying.
And maybe that's my consolation for accidentally trashing a 314 point mining task this morning because of the jumping task board.
