Sixteen spam threads -- help us mods

Actually, the above link should be to meonhoc's post from May 15th (post 145 of this thread), which contains a link to TheGreatLach's specific, detailed instructions on how to report spambots. Although originating from a CoC moderator, the advice applies to all the forums.

Thanks for the link. I read the instructions and reported my first spammer. Its a good feeling to be able to do something about it instead of just sighing with frustration and hoping someone else alerts the moderators.


Can anyone answer the following questions?


After clicking on the spammer's profile and bringing up the list of threads they started, why do I need to scroll down to the very first thread they started? Would it make a difference if I just clicked on the thread at the top of the list and reported them through that one? After all, I'm reporting the author of these threads, not the threads themselves right?


How do I know I successfully reported the author? I searched the thread for some sign but didn't notice anything.


What specific actions do the moderators take? Is there a magic button they press to delete all threads started by the author? Or do they have to go through each sub-section of each section of each game (Hayday, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach) to manually find and delete each and every one?

No wonder those threads don't work for me! I need to have a love life in the first place in order to take advantage of the black magic!

I simply don't see what they are getting out of the spam. are there seriously people gullible enough to call an international number and pay the fees incurred within doing so? Don't we have local psychics who can tell us the same info for 2.99 a minute?

That is an incredible value. Since I need Reshuffler's Anonymous and can lose 50 diamonds in a matter of a few but-I-just-know-if-I-keep reshuffling-I-will-win-eventually minutes, I can save my diamonds and instead call a psychic and see which week they foresee me winning the coveted carriage.

Oh, don't worry, I'm sure they'd tell you that with their special black magic they could help you find your perfect partner! In fact you could probably knit one, and have them magic it into a real person, - kind of like a wooly Pinocchio!

I prefer to support my local psychic who set up shop at the mall.

The next time I see her, I will ask her to predict when Supercell will create the opt in/opt out button for the derby. Maybe I should get some more of that Love Potion No. 9.
