Rushing th8!

iv been reading a fair bit about rushing from maxed th7-th9.. I was just wondering what needs upgrading and building as a th8.. Before advancing to th9. Thanks

max splash towers (mortars and wiz towers), air defs, king, and the troops you use most often. have everything else at least max TH7 level (collectors/barracks may be excluded)

Laboratory, lv5 barch, spell factory, army camps if you don't already have 200 space & clan castle.
Work on your BK during your short time at TH8, every little helps.

I upgraded to TH8 after a week and I still regret not upgrading sooner xD

I'd say - skip town hall 8 completely. As soon as you hit TH8, click the upgrade button to upgrade to TH9.
While you're at TH8 upgrade your barbarians and archers and your drill and storages.
The reason I don't think you should max balloons and minions at TH8 is because you'll probably have a lot of unused elixir, and I don't want to see you get stuck for 10 days with a full elixir storage, just like what happened to me. It sucks.
So - skip TH8 completely and get to TH9 with level 5 barch, upgrade your balloons/minions before upgrading your lab to optimize your progress and stay at TH9 until you max your walls.

As for defenses - since you're going to waste your gold and elixir before logging off, defenses are pretty useless. They're only useful when it comes to war, so I suggest you max your air defenses, your traps and your teslas, to fend off any TH8 attacking strategy (You'll be faced against THs 8 in wars).
