...People put in their own interpretation on vague issues, and then word things as if it were facts, and effectively putting words in Supercell's mouth (OK, lets not do that then, lets use theirs). This is a very common mistake people do, and needs to be something people should be more self aware of. (but like that will happen anytime soon)....

So they admit its not nice, but they do say that it breaks none of their rules and even go so far to say it is fair on the basis that they feel all is fair in war. They point out that it is one of the players challenges that they have to overcome using the tools at their disposal.

So this implies that SC does condone it and purposely allows it in the game. If they did not they would say that they would have this as an exploit to be looked at, whatever the priority.

a simple little player history in their profile would help with this i think, knowing the last few clans the person requesting to join your clan was in would be nice to know and maybe duration they were in clan

EDIT - This poster is not complaining spying should be outlawed but instead accepting it as his responsibility to deal with, so he was seeking more tools for dealing with it himself. I was actually sad to point out the fact of SC's policy because I liked his way of thinking.

I don't see it. It reads more like a c.y.a. (cover your 'rear') legal statement about something they don't want to get too much into. If they condoned it, they would have said it directly, and not use fancy wording to kinda say 'sorry, but deal with it.. please?' So I see it as them tolerating it, for now (like many other issues they have to deal with).

Given how someone else reads it totaly differently than I expected, or wouldn't have referred it as evidence, I'm pretty sure others seeing that SC statement will still stick to thier side of the argument and make an interpretation that fits thier stance, as if we're looking at the same glass of water, arguing over if it were a glass half empty or half full. (I just say it is a half a glass of water myself, and just shut up and have a drink.)

This argument is a stalemate. No one has said anything to convince me it is anything but a low priority system exploit of questionable 'sportsmanship', questionable benifts, which annoyes many* people when dealing with it, and is something that could be fixed with relatively little** work.

*(Remember, 'many' is a subjective term, so how 'many' isn't stated, and it isn't my point. It is enough to cause this debate, and is significant enough for Supercell to write a FAQ for it)

Shouldn't have to even do those c.y.a. statements here. But since this is being treated seriously, and some people get so hurt and overly bent out of shape on any contrary argument, with some being vindictive enough to spend so much time on salvaging some 'win' just to make themselves feel better, I can't really assume any kind of civil discussion on this tiny topic. And on what? Spying on a 13 and up game app?

Only reason I'm here is because I'm bored, and want to use my waste of time somewhere. And it is rather interesting to see how overly heated people get on this, as if it were a real controversial topic in real life. Just amazes me... and is informative on human nature. I know you are trying to get to a point, but try not to insult people's intelligence while doing so. Remember (and I know you should know this), I'm dysthymic, so if there is something with some feeling to it, I'm likely going to gravitate towards it. Otherwise, especially late at night, I'm just typing near emotionless, trying to find some logic to fix a problem, adding in some emotes to give it some feeling I think should be in there (which 80% I'm personally lacking). Hard to be a sore loser when one doesn't give a damn in the first place.

Believe me, there is much I don't give a damn for. And not for lack of trying.

Isn't it obvious? Countering spying partly blocks getting more people in thier Clan; and getting more people is needed so they can be better at killing and looting than the other clans. If spying was better handled, game mechanics wise, this wouldn't be the case.

You offer no solution with your idea. Just like hundreds of other ideas just spamming this forum. It's as bad as ideas posted that has been ruled out in the sticky. If you are going to post an idea or feature request, make it legitimate with the actual solution.
