Redesigned TH 5 Defense/Trophy/War Base [Critique Needed]

So, I got bored and was working on redesigning my TH 5 base to suit Defense/Trophy/War needs, and came up with this. I'm moving pretty slowly in the game, and I believe that's how it's meant to be played... I don't want to rush into anything.

I'm currently in the process of upgrading all my buildings and weapons to it's maximum level before upgrading to TH 6, but once I do, I'll redesign my base again.

So, here goes nothing...

P.S. My barracks are stacked in the top center corner of the playing field, for those wondering where they are.

I am open to all kinds of critique and would like to know other's opinions on how I can make this base better... Thank you all so much in advance!

This is great! The only change I would make is swapping your central archer tower for your clan castle.

That is a great idea! I've made the necessary changes... and I've also swapped my Elixir Storage with the Archer Tower on both sides, to get a wider range of attack.

This looks awesome. Only thing I would suggest, is to place builder huts or lab in front of air defense. This makes it harder to get to.

Swap the th with the air defense as there is no reason that you should have it in the center move the barracks/lab and builders huts in front of your walls as tanks and you should be ok 👌
also id swap the top gold storage or bottom gold storage with the archer tower in the core.

Good idea. Great move to put the town hall out side on a trophy/war base...*sarcasm*

I'd move all the buildings on the edges to the perimeter of your base. This will slow attackers down (from resources) while your defenses can attack and prevent easy one stars.

Also, I would alternate gold mines and elixir collectors and not place them right next to one another, so it is harder for an attacker to get all your collectors from one place.

YES!!! It is a great idea for a th5 to trophy push!!! *sarcasm* n *facepalm*
tho if this was a war base i would still do the same to make it sort of a... Th5 anti 3 star base xD

Oh, didn't realize that I could use them as defense. I was actually just keeping them on the edges cause it would look much cleaner (kind of a neat freak), and also that it would take some of the slow units time to go to all of the 4 edges, so it'll make it even harder to get a perfect score.

I'll start working on using those barracks and army camp buildings to add to my defense and post an update real soon.

As for the switching of gold mines and elixir collectors, I actually wanted to use them as a shield to the walls. Behind those walls are some of my best defensive attacking buildings, like the towers and air defense. Of course, I could try alternating them... but then, it wouldn't *look* as good as it does now :P I'm a sucker for Symmetry <3

I'll definitely work on it... hoping to upgrade to TH6 very soon, and build better defensive bases!

** The Best War Base of TH5 **

Updated the whole base with the help of the amazing suggestions by the members here!

It really looks amazing and I think it could pack quite a punch of defense when the time comes! Going to test out this base for a few days and come back with the results!
