well if you like to farm with bam then good thing you upgraded giants before archers

I would say upgrade the archer. Maxing farming troops first before doing anything else troop-wise is most beneficial in the long run. Just get it over with so you don't have to worry about it later.
how do you accidentally upgrade them? you have to confirm it after you select the giant
So Archers make sense next.
That said Giants are great for farming at th9. I farm with 8 giants, 8 wall breakers rest barch. That can 3 star most th8s and get the loot out of most th9s.
Also, after your archers do loons. Loons open up another farming army (Loonian - loons & minis) and a great set of war comps when combined with lavahounds.

Loons with hounds outrank any farming troop and can be used for farming themselves. By far the best upgrade at th9 (for me anyway)
If you war do loons!
If you farm do archers!
Personally I did loons when I enter to th9! War is more important than farming!
