Is it wrong for a clan leader to ban defense upgrades for war purposes?

He certainly has no right to tell you what to do that's for sure. You were right in leaving, don't need that kind of filth leading you. If he's afraid of tougher matchups just because you are upgrading infernos to level 2, he clearly just stinks at war.

This made me laugh. I'm sitting on a maxed out defense, and even with my maxed out troops I can certainly not "reliably" 3 star my equals. Guess I will be discussed by you and your co-leaders how I suck at war and will never be allowed to do war in your clan. Good for me I'm in a clan that allows me to progress and win wars at the same time ;-)

I had a similar reaction to reading that post. 3 starring a base of equal strength with reliability... are we discussing all facets (walls, troops, quality/type of layout)?

Most often a th8 or 9 will 3 star a base of near precise relative strength because of a flaw in the design which permits a particular opportunity. A well designed base is essentially expected to be 2 starred by its equal, but if 3 starring were such a basic presumption wars would clearly look much different.

And where did i say i had low level troops? About a third of my troops are max TH10 standard, which can easily take on TH10 bases. You need to ♥♥♥♥ and get your facts straight before you make a joke and laugh all by yourself
