Sooner or later everyone will leave the clan because of this micro-managing ♥♥♥♥....

In my clan (in which I'm a CO), we only ask that new TH10s either do their offensive upgrades first, or sit out of war if they really want to build infernos.
That's what I did.... until I had max hounds, level 4 freeze, and max camps, i didn't build inferno because I couldn't handle my equal TH10 until I had those.
TH10 (2/18/15); TH11 (12/20/15)
What you guys don't understand is the weight of an X-bow or Inferno tower alone. When I got to th9 (from maxed th8 full skulls) once I caught up with my new towers to th8 max, I upgraded an xbow and jumped from #4 slot to #2 slot. The guy that was #2 before I made it mine had maxed out all his turrets but the xbows and archer towers....
After I had upgraded both xbows, we went to a severe lose streak cause I still had lvl 2 golems, lvl 1 hounds barely lvl5 queen... it's getting under control now cause I m starting to 3 star (or 2 star with 90% dmg, usually I do run out of time) th9s reliably.
Upgrading your xbows as a fresh th9 with th8 troops invites a mid range th9 with upgraded troops on the opposing team.
Now here is the funny part... OP is the one with low level troops unable to make viable clan war attacks before upgrading the towers to lvl2!! The leader just wants to make sure the guy doesn't keep on rushing until he finally upgrades his troops.
Not everybody rushes defence upgrades. People like me prefer to rush attack strength and war attacks before bringing stronger opponents into the mix.

It is the theory that defense is more highly valued the offense for matchmaking, dont think anyone really knows it's true, just guessing and experience. Also comes from having people attack same # on map means people with stronger offense than defense look like better attackers but are really just drawing easier opponents and possibly weaking the clan overall. My theory is if lots of people try this SC will tweak the algorithm and not make it true in the long run.
If this is the strategy the clan is using and you dont like it, it is not the clan for you.
Like most things...if you dont agree then leave.
Seems pretty simply.
It is not wrong, but pathetic. The game should encourage progress and the enjoyment of doing so. We're not role-playing termites here where everyone is hive-minded carbon copy of everyone else. You left is for the best. That kind of co-leader is suitable only for leading th 7 clan.
