    Remove the Recomended Target

Previously I was going to suggest giving it a re-work. (Based off of the level of exp and having a soul recomended target.)

I realize after the response I got how it wouldn't work. It didn't take more than 2 to tell me this.

I I suggest removing it completely. It just adds such confusion to lower players that it's become more of a nuisance than a helpful thing for clan war. I know others feel like I do and it should be removed.

    Why a re-work wouldn't work
Back when this was first introduced; the air attacks were no where near as popular as they are now. You can't access a persons target based off of an algorithm. There's anti-bases for just about everything. By the time you account for that; no recomended target would be useful.

Our best bet is to remove it and prevent the confusion for lower levels regarding recomended target actually being recomended.

Yep, kinda useless when a clan of dragon users can attack anyone regardless of #. We had an enemy dragon clan where their #6-14 were all using lv3 dragons, so their #14 could attack almost anyone on our roster.

Its kinda useful for people who've rushed their bases though, but most clans just go by 'attack your number'.

Situations like that is why this feature isn't useful as much anymore.

Theres no way to access a players attack ability with an algorithm. I've had players who were our 7 but I made attack lower because they just we'rent that great.

I guess it depends on what you mean by remove or re-work. Technically, the idea I posted in the last thread, saying it was a re-work of it, was more of a removal and replace with something different

Yeah, remove... It has long been obsolete. I even make joking whines/rants on the clan channel about it insulting my abilities to fight.

The recommended target thing is very helpful to players who don't already know better.

Unfortunately, the recommended target algorithm is poor.

It was revamped several weeks ago. Previously, it would recommend quite low, but acceptably. Now it recommends too high.

Now that everyone doesn't have to be in the war, participation is near 100%. It's no longer about stars per new attack, but about getting nearly every star. The current recommendation advises low people to go high if the bottom few are two-starred, which is a mistake, because the middle people have to three-star the bottom people.

I think the recommended target needs another revamp. It should assume that all targets need to be three-starred, and advise the bottom people accordingly. the bottom player with remaining attacks should attack the bottom opposition with a star to win.

This may be irrelvant if your can is all about the same level. For my clan, ranging from TH3 to TH10, it is pretty important.

Yes please. In 10v10 wars I'm ranked either 2 or 3 with my recommended target being around 7 or 8... I easily 3 star the 2-5 enemies.
Inaccurate, inhibiting younger and oblivious players, and slightly annoying.

Perhaps removing the recommended option in right before a clan war search can be put in? Therefore only clans who have recommended off can only fight another clan with recommended off as well.

Yeah I think the issue is the algorithim is poor - however it does provide a good ball park figure for newbs and lower levels. TBH a good clasher with decent troops from TH8 and above can start punching above their weight a bit more but this is partly down to how well your clan is performing overall and not necessarily the norm I guess.

But my example where I find it hilarious is I am number one and the only th10 in my clan, and my recommended target is usuallly #3 and a town hall 9 - is this secretly telling me there has been a mismatch or taking the p[$$ out of my attack stategy or what?
