friends button (actually the button on bottom right) locks up game

I have tried every possible thing and hitting the button on the bottom right locks up the game

I'm getting the same thing on iPhone 6 iOS 8.3
Not sure it's in another thread somewhere.
You click it and the friends buttons stay Down then freeze the game.Closing the app and relaunch works but no access to any friend buttons.Rebooting device doesn't help.
