I have been running into the same problem as you lately, just not finding any good loot! But i agree try changes leagues. Recently I dropped from 1500-1150 by simply deploying one troop and ending the battle. Then as I worked my way back to 1500, I found some good loot.

It's not about the league. I'm in gold 1, which everyone says is where a TH9 should farm, and sometimes I till spend 100k nexting. The economy is broke.
11 minutes? I dream to next only for 11 minutes and find a good base to hit.
Today my shield ran out at lunch time and I next'd for an hour, finally settling on a TH9 with 120k gold, 190k elix, 1700 de (in storage not collectors). Prior to that, every base was devoid of resources.
It's really about times of day though. For me, my night is the best. No point in raiding in the afternoon though.
