    Haven't been 3 starred by a fellow TH9 (yet)

    I'm not claiming to have an un-3starrable war base, but so far the only time I've been 3 starred is by TH10's with max troops. I've run these 2 bases through 5 wars each (only including wars where I was actually attacked by a TH9). I didn't save replays and whatnot so I don't have stats to give you guys, but I know they haven't been 3'ed.

    NOTE: I apologize to anyone linked here from Akiyume's site. This forum has a weird attachment management system so I can't keep to many pictures uploaded for very long. I delete them once the post becomes irrelavant.

    It might have been due to bad attacking, but in 1 war alone this base was attacked by quatrolava 4 times and resulted in 3 defends and only 1 1-star (TH10 got 50%).

    I'm looking for advice on how to improve. Do you see obvious weaknesses? I'm aware I haven't been attacked by 3-star specialists, but that's what I'm trying to prepare for.

    I have since quit clash about 5 days after upgrading to TH10. Half the reason I quit was the update, other half was that the game simply wasn't interesting to me anymore.

    Hogs!

    A few things: 1st your queen is very accessible, move her in as she is more important than your town hall for exanple. Secondly, you only have 2 sets of possible giant bomb spots. Ones on left can be triggered by 5 hogs on cannon and ones on right and be hit by killed squad or pathed around so they don't hit. Sweet base
    but some minor tweaks make it even better!

    Thanks for the feedback! I'm assuming you're talking about the 1st base, yes it did get hit by hogs and I had forgotten about it because it was by a TH10 (but could easily be done as a TH9 as well). I'm going to try to make more possible double giant bomb spots, not sure if I have enough walls.

    Any thoughts on the 2nd base?

    Both are getting to the anti-3 star stage, but you haven't grasp the double giant bomb 'weight' yet.

    For example Base #1:



    If they kill just the cannon and the archer tower (marked in black x), the WHOLE white area is vulnerable to hogs.
    Also the fact that if the enemy queen stand where your queen location is, it's still possible for the enemy queen to snipe both ADs down. Even if they don't want to be that greedy, your base still is possible to lure as well as the fact that they only need one wall breaker to enter that cannon,cannon,mortar section and aggro your queen, and kill the accessible ADs on the left. They won't need to use any spell to take care of your queen, CC, or AD and therefore, they got 4 spells against your 3 ADs remaining, so against lavaloons, it's vulnerable, and against hogs, it's exploitable.


    For Base #2:

    If you look at the image, you can see that it only takes a few hogs (marked in black) to kill that left mortar, and right cannon to pre-trigger your double giant bomb.

    What you want to do is have your double giant bomb separate each 'section' of your base. I've marked in yellow what the sections mean. Basically each side of the base has a different amount of defense building so dgb needs to separate these sections apart.



    Please read my guide linked above to understand what I mean for double giant bomb. The space between the wizT and archT (marked in red) is a good location for DGB, but there is conflict with the teslas cuz it's not the "hourglass" effect. You can't put the double giant bomb anywhere between 1-3 and 3-2 because your queen is attracting the attention there and therefore they can dismantle the dgb through queen killing.

    In the dark red, if they enter in from this position, the enemy AQ can still reach both left and right ADs.

    But from the purple though, they can enter that section without a jump spell, and the enemy archer queen can still lock onto the core AD and that left side AD.

    Dang man! That's some serious in-depth analysis, so a big thanks to you! I'll check out the guides and throw in some tweaks in the meantime.

    Edit: Forgot to mention I swapped the king and queen locations on base #1. Still not perfect but for the time being it'll be better.

    Sorry I was in english class so only looked at one! This one looks awesome as well. I really only am a decent level hogger so I can only give hog perspective advice. CC lure is tough which is good. THe pathing on the right giant bomb is much better then your last base, but it is still vulnerable to 5 hogs on mortar to grab CC lure, which will go to the air defense and trigger the double bombs. Queen ist an easy kill which is good. I feel like maybe move that tesla near the bottom air defense over, that should help slow down kill squad. Also, if I was coming from 7 o'clock, not too many high hit point structures to stall heroes, so maybe swap out the drill for another storage etc. I am by no means an expert, but I have been keeping myself up to date with the anti 3 star progression from builders like Akiyume, so I feel I have a solid grasp on hog defenses. I honestly dont know enough about laloon to critique your base, but there is one glaring problem near queen. If you use a shattered from 10 o clock and place a jump spell in between the wizard tower and spell factory, you can grab 2 cannons, a wizard tower, a mortar, a tesla, and 2 air defenses! I know the cannons and mortar arn't anything for air defense but they are just defenses that take time to destroy. If you want feel free to PM i need some help designing a base and would like some advice!
