    spartan warrior new troop!

    Heres my idea for a new troop

    I apologize for a repost, but I did make some small modifications.(name change and such)
    Spartan Warrior(Dark spartan Warrior):

    General description: Soldier with a very large wooden shield, favorite target x-bow. wooden shield absorbs x bow damage to a certain point(level one would last about two-three seconds of direct x bow fire.)

    shield behavior: the unit is dropped with a large wooden shield strapped to his back and targets the nearest x bow. Movement speed is between giant and barbarian. as soon as he gets within range(maybe one tile out from range) he pulls the shield off his back and huddles under it slowly(slower than probably any other unit) moving towards the x bow.

    Group Behavior: If multiple are dropped they huddle together forming a wall of max four wide. other units will form another line directly behind the first. the number of lines is not limited. each unit in a row adds 5% to the cumulative shield strength and the whole rows shields break together. they will die off rather quickly, and the xbow will soon target the next row, who still have shields up. Lines behind the first row with shields down will have the shield above their head(possibly absorbing tower/mortar damage, but obviously this damage depletes their shields, and some splash damage gets transferred to the units(such as mortars and wiz towers), otherwise its simply visual) once they get to an x bow, they will lower their shields to swarm the bow. once it is dead, they will reform the group and move to the next bow.

    Walls: if the group gets to a wall, the first row(most likely without shields) will attack the wall with their swords, while the rest of the group doesnt do anything. If the first row still has shields, they will loose their shields and attack the wall. Wall damage is less than 100% if their normal damage, 50-75%, forcing you to drop them after a path has already been cleared to the x bow, or at least for the most part.

    Damage: their basic damage will be slightly less than barbarian like, with 2-4x damage to x bows and 50-75% damage to walls as stated.

    Barracks: I was thinking 2-4. enough so you can form a group of 8-12 maybe and still have a decent army composition, but not so low that you could make massive swarms of 16+ and still have a decent army. training cost would be around 1000 elixir or 500 dark if its a dark troop. honestly I see it being a starting lvl 1 and would be unlocked at th8. One level before x bows.

    Strategy/Defense: It would work best with a barbarian archer or giant healer army with wallbreakers. other units clear the way, and wallbreakers break walls to the core. a god defense would involve separating x bows with separate walls, placing spring traps near them and such.
    heres what I was thinking for as far as grouping and appearance

    Please only constructive criticism. I HAVE READ THE STICKIES!!!

    I know everyone will not like the idea, but dont just say theyre way too OP, if you say theyre OP have a suggestion.

    I think Clash likes to stick with the traditional type of troops, not very modern ones, but awesome idea.

    thanks for liking the idea, but how is this modern? I feel it is older than Tesla, and around barbarian and archer times. The battle of thermopylae was between 4-500 BC.

    Any ideas on how I can improve the unit? I am still on the fence whether it should be a regular troop or dark troop. How is the price and housing?

    Any other input? Again, thank you for commenting!! any input is awesome!
