New TH9—want some advice

Hey guys, I've been TH9 for a couple of weeks and here are my thoughts on that.
As soon as I got to TH9 I upgraded my lab, spell factory, built 2 x-bows, and built AQ (I instantly upgraded her to lvl 2).
Then I focused con DE drills and army camps, as of now I have 1 lvl 4 DE drill and 2 lvl 7 camps, my AQ is level 4 and as soon as my next builders gets free I'll be upgrading her to lvl 5.

I want to crystal 3 because I thought I could farm very well there. Well, it's kinda so. In crystal I can find a lot of DE but there are not so many inactive village, so I rarely find 200-300k raids.
I'd like to stay there (or even get to crystal 2–1) because of the bonus and the ease to find DE raids, but the matter is that it's not that fast for me to farm elixir and gold, and I get wrecked by TH10's.

it's a modified version of the Royal River coreless farming base. I think it's good (well, the original one is good. I tried to modify mine according to the most common types of raid I'm getting attacked by, but I think it doesn't look that good right now). I get totally destroyed by TH10 BARCH, GiBARCH and strats like those.

My main goals right now are: upgrade barbarians to lvl 6 ASAP, balloons to level 6, golem to level 3, and heroes as high as I can.

In the meantime I will probably being focused on upgrading my x-bows and uh, I think I'll then focus on wiz towers cause they are my favorite defenses.

Do you think crystal 3 is too high for a new TH9? What should I do to farm more consistently gold and elixir, without leaving DE behind? Also, what can I do to improve my base? I think Royal River is the best farming base I've seen so far, but if you do know any better base, feel free to show me, I'm willing to get a completely different base than that in order to better protect my resources




TL;DR: what is the best farming base and league to farm as a new TH9? What's the best plan to max troops, defenses etc. as quick as possible as a TH9?

GOLD 1-3 FOR GOLD AND ELIXIR, about the base, create your own, this way u know how it works and how to modify it.
If u war do Loons and Lavahounds First if u want 3 star, or GoWiXXX if u want 2, if don't war, do barch, giants and the farming troops that u use first.
Don't upgrade defenses if u war. besides It won't protect u loot against th10, if they want u loot, they will get it. Defenses will just up u on the clan war map. if u don't upgrade it, u won't get hard bases on cw, instead, spend your gold on walls.
