Show shield timer for revenge: AngryNeeson52

Like everyone else, I loved the Liam Neeson commercial. However, now that I've trained up my dragons and barbarians, all my revenge opponents have active shields and can't be attacked. Spending my day spamming revenge buttons is not my idea of fun.

Can my list of available revenge attacks include information about the time left on their shields? Some bases need special armys to hit. Those usually take time to build. With this information, I'd be able to plan my revenge appropriately.

Not knowing your current code base, I'll leave implementation up to you. But from an end user perspective:

Best: Each player that has a revenge button also has an exact timer on their shields or 'online' if their shield is down but they are online. (But don't show me online if they still have a shield. I'd rather see the timer)

2nd best: Same concept but make me click a button to view this info.

Better than nothing: Don't show online, just a timer. Only update the timer data every 10/15 minutes. Exclude seconds from the timers.

    It's ruled out

*Revenge list indicate online/shielded or currently attackable without having to click each person’s button

Yeah, maybe you should try reading my post!!! I'm not asking to revenge someone who is online / shielded. I want to plan for when their shield runs out. ..

The Ruled out idea states 'Revenge List indicates online/shield time...", which IS what you're asking for. They don't want to add an online indicator, and this would be one in a slightly different form. Maybe in the future of they do add an online indicator, a feature similar to this will appear in game. Until then, the answer from SC will more than likely be 'No.'

Ah. Now I see that there are TWO sections on GUI. Apologies; I missed the second one. Agreed, that WAS exactly what I was asking for. I guess I just feel that if they believe 'revenge' is important enough to the game to include as a core feature of a rather pricey advertisement that they would better support the ability to make it happen. Who knows, maybe they do something with it in the background?

I'm inferring then that they have weighed the balance between me 'enjoying' my revenge attack and the casual player 'not enjoying' my revenge attack and have found the difference to be lacking. Either that, or perhaps they fear that adding this capability will remove too many players from the pool of 'random encounters' found in the 'Next' mini-game. (Basically, a player will go from having their shield end, to being attacked and given another shield in less than a minute since I've been planning to snipe them all day...)

Whelp. Feel free to delete this thread if it happens to get reviewed. Thanks for listening.
