    Valkyrie update

Never once seen anyone use Valkyries even after the update for spin attack (and let's face it, that's useless except for clearing CC troops), does anyone else feel like she needs some work?
Dark troops should either be better than their regular counterpart or change the way we play, but the Valkyrie is melee, does less damage than the wizard, takes up 8 slots and isn't remarkable when compared to all the alternatives.
Or maybe people have a dark horse attack strategy that I don't know about?

I agree the Valkyrie needs work, but I do disagree with the counterpart you have listed. I would relate a Valkyrie to a healer. Totally useless in destroying buildings.
My best threads: The Overseer, Flying Shark,Shockwave Spell, Empusa, FLAMEingo

As an attacker, I haven't seen much use for the Valkyrie. I have tried a few different strategies with her. As a defensive unit in war cc, she has helped many of our lower players.

Peter17$ would give you an earful! I think valks are decent troops, although I don't use them very often. If I do I bring them as a valcher attack against abandoned bases... similar to barch except more room for archers, since high HP valks go in first. Area splash helps with clearing too. The main uses that my clan uses them for is as war CC troops, for people who likely won't have air troops attack them.

But there's my problem with her, a giant/hog or golem would do better as tanks & wizards are the better option for dps because they have more damage and can reach over walks.

I guess Valch is reasonable if you are going for gold or elixir (to a lesser degree, more archers cut down on profit a tiny bit)... But I'd like to see them have some more value than just "plop 1 in war defense unless my clan mate is under TH9"
And does Peter17$ have videos for Valk attacks/compositions?

Maybe if they gave her double damage to walls, or to heroes& CC troops I'd see Valkyries as viable

Maybe every 5th swing she heals herself for 10 HP?

Valks act just like a mini pekka. And you never open an attack with a pekka. They need to be steered by bait buildings. The problem is, even if she is steered centre, once stuck behind a wall she's picked off by defences. The deciding factor in having her used by more people would be to have her do extra damage to walls.
