Are these troops worth upgrading? I don't use them atm but thinking about beginning to. I'm a TH-9 with max hounds (for my level) and max witches, golems are at level 2; hogs at 4, valky's at 1. I have been thinking of upgrading the valky's to start using them in raids and wars, should I be upgrading them or not worry about it and focus on my heroes, or upgrade golem to level 3, then 4? Max my hogs, which I use sporadically? I don't use hogs all that much, and I only use the golems during wars, which for now I will be using hounds for the foreseeable future. Back to my original question: should I upgrade the valkyrie to start using her in raids or not worry about it?

There are plenty of clashers insisting Valkyries were useless...

I say, thats only because they are unable to use them!
The AI of Valkyries is a bit tricky, you have to exercise on when and where dropping them, that they get into the base and not going all the way oustide round.

If you find the key you will see, that it´s a pretty powerfull troop, especially if a group of 5-10 is inside the base you´ll see that they devastate the base rapidly!

In my opinion Golem/Valkyrie/Wizards is obviously stronger than Gowipe, if the attacker knows what to do.

Also Giants/Valkyrie/Wizards is a really strong combo!

I'd say about mid Th8 to early Th10 Valkyrie are extremely strong. But most people aren't sure how to use them.

At Th8 GoViz/GoVaPe with possible some hogs or loons is a solid strategy for 3 stars (the hogs or loons are for taking out back-end defenses). These are also great at Th9

Then Hog/Valk strategies are viable all the way to late Th10 (though at late Th10 its certain bases it shines on). It rips through Th8/9 pretty impressively

GoWiVa is best at Th9 but when up against split infernos or just singles a solid choice at Th10

Most recently we've been developing VaLoWiWi strategies for the Th8/9 level. Against the right base simply devastating, but it requires planning and is definitely a war strategy more so than anything else. I think its a good Th10 strategy but I am still learning it and haven't mastered it.

I also think my Valkyrie tornado could be very devastating at the Th8/9 level but not many people wanna risk the healers in war. I'll let you know what mine minni gets the troops to execute the attack

Valks, are not bad troops. The only problem I seewith them is they only attack ground troops. I Prefer gowipes or gowiwi attacks personally. Thus, I would work on golems. I know you plan on using hounds but you may come across a base you feel more comfortable using gowipes on. I hope this is helpful. Good luck.

Valks are amazing troops if you can use them right, their splash damage and their high health makes them powerful under a rage spell and a group of them will wipe out walls in seconds. I personally though, have decided to upgrade them last.

At TH8, you already have mass drags to take out a lot of bases for war. At TH9, you have an arsenal of different types of strategies from GoWiWi to LaLoonion, all of which need just as much work as GoWiVa or any other Valk based strategy. I plan on fully maxing out my TH, but if I wanted to rush a bit, I'd be wiling to skip the upgrade on valks, I see their value, but I'm not going to ever use them.

valkys are very useful during early TH10 when you needs to save tons of elixir

How about to gain DE!

Last few raids been trying a variation on GoViz shared by Abyau of Elit Pro's. He took the idea of 4 golems and dropped two for 12 giants.

I modified my wrecking ball to have those giants be part of my rush on the core.

Not far into it, but 2 3 stars on early Th10 and a very near on a maxed Th9 who'd just gotten a pair of infernos.

I've seen 4 golem GoViz too, but sorta feel valks aren't the best choice in that combo necessarily (with that sort of tanking power, valks would only really be maximized in taking out the core and mostly if that core had heros in it). Giants/Valks have more synergy because both benefit from heal to such a high degree.
