Should I still lure the CC troops when using GoWiPe ?

I'd rather lure the cc troops and kill them off with archers instead of using lightning. Also, I definitely would advise taking out the cc troops on any gowipe. If you don't there's always a chance you could lose your golems. Especially to wizards.

Besides, I'd rather have an extra rage instead of using lightning on the cc troops. And sometimes your wizards and golems can divert in different directions. Especially since golems target defenses and wizards target anything. So while you can be successful in just raging and taking out the cc troops, in a war, you should take the safest route to get stars. That's how to win a war.

Luring is pointless! Throw the Wizards behind the golem with a rage and it's taken care off. Also, most th8 bases I attack especially the ones spaced out using all the space I only managed to three star in the last 5-10 seconds. With luring you would run out of time.

I have used gowipe and have never lured. Seems kinda pointless against th8

If it's easy, I would. Why not just remove that variable altogether? Our most successful runs have pulled the CC. Not that you must, of course, but I would recommend it.

This. If it is an easy lure, you lure. If not, you drop rage. It's no more complicated than that.

The problem with a gowipe attack, and why it is not considered a three-star attack strategy, is because your troops are very slow and will result in mostly 2 star attacks due to the lack of time. So adding an additional step of luring will really cut into your time and prevent you from getting 3 stars.

I understand what you are saying, & I've seen it plenty as well, but it's base specific.

We are at war right now and a clan mate of mine just 3-starred a lvl 82 TH8 base using GoWiPe (he's lvl 77) and he pulled the CC; ended with plenty of time to spare.

Most of our 3-star GoWiPe pull the CC. A few wars ago, a clan mate 3-starred the base called, "The End" using GoWiPe and he pulled the CC.

Ultimately, I believe pulling the CC is up to the player.

My recommendation, based on what I've seen/experienced, is to pull the CC if it's easy. If not, maybe not worth it and move on.

Oh, pulling the CC is, most definitely, not pointless in many situations
