The TH8 design is cute. 4 lightning spells on the cannon in the center can take out all of your mortars but who's going to be carrying around 4?
I don't know about the TH5 design. It looks decent but I never thought it was fair for a defender at TH5.
All of your ground defenses are in the same area and subject to attack by Balloons once the tower is removed.
TH8: Switch the CC and the cannon. Looks pretty cool though, on the core.
TH5: Switch the AD with the inner AT.
Your th8 base would be decimated by hogs due to all the single compartments and no spaces to trick a raider. I'd find a new base set up for that.
Th5 you don't need to worry about hogs, but with that base almost anything could take it out honestly. Air defense needs to be more centralized, if not at least have the wizard tower in the middle guarding over resources, which should also be in a way centralized along with a mortar. And unless you have the clan castle always full, I'd take it out the middle for right now because it's doing more bad than good. Replace it with the wizard tower at the very least, and remember to upgrade walls on both accounts.
Agreed with posters above. But do yourself a favor, man, and move the traps inside your base. Use them to prevent a three-star/protect storages. Farmers and collector raiders don't care about losing a few troops to a spring trap. Personally, I LOVE triggering traps on the outside of a base, because I know you'll have to re arm them.
