how do you afford wars?

War costs yes are about as much as if you win on both attacks and ur clan wins you usually even out elixir. But raid too. Even if just 2-3 times a day, find a fat raid in gold and put townhall on outside to keep ur loot. Thru out the day ur collectors and mines add up plus your win loot you break even...you raiding just adds to it. Get 5 bucks of gems and boost barracks and heroes/spells and get out there...barch. WHen u finish u are almost ready to barch again. repeat.

Do you do nothing but donate dragons to everyone (cc offence & cc defence)? Which would tell me that you're likely th8.

Use de instead with hogs. And also try to WIN WARS and get it all back.

I'm TH10 and war cost me 575k Elixir for both attacks (troops + Spells) so I really don't understand how one can spend 1 Million.

Donating. Before clan level 5 I was spending 3 mil elixir per war and a looott of dark. I'm the #1 and have max troops and I want everyone else to farm, so I take the brunt of expenses from war. I'm max and I don't play this game to farm. I don't like people who don't war. Play farmville.

But now we're clan lvl 6 and with +1 troops so people can help me out and 35% refund, life is good

Farm harder... I fill my entire clans war ccs every war roughly 600+ troops, every other day + donate the majority of what people ask for attacks+ 2 attacks of roughly 400k armies...and still farm enough to spend about 5 mil elixer on walls in between research upgrades... War is for the rich but all that definitely makes losing sting..

This is what I struggle with as a TH9 capable of donating max level troops in a level 6 clan. I have no problem dropping 8-10K DE on 2 war armies but when people request max golems, valks, or witches I let them slide. Normally by the time they are cooked someone already filled the request and I've been burned badly by that before. Even when filling war cc's I normally only spend about 1K DE on assisting with filling them. I'd say max I want to spend on wars DE wise is 15K because my drills, the win bonus, and farming lessens the impact. But my hero upgrades are expensive and saving the DE for them is hard enough as it is. I'm really tight on that stuff. I'll spend whatever in elixir but not my DE. And I only war about once ever week.

What in the world are you using as an army that it costs you 1 million elixir to do two attacks?????? Anyway I make money during wars. We are 14-1-1 in our last sixteen and we are winning this war in about an hour. I will get 1,055,700 gold and elixir and 4,830 de. Im sure some maxed players are getting way more than that. Even with whatever crazy 1 million elixir army you are using, if you win you should still be earning money and elixir.

War is expensive.....if you're the only one with top troops to donate. We have over fifteen who can donate max troops (with clan perks) and spread it out evenly. When we win, we all receive more than we lost (though, it may not be a ton) but it helps. We war quite often. Usually search again within the day.

When I was leader of a war clan and also one of the senior members, it was a given I'd spend at least 1M with war base cc donations, attack army donations and my own army comp. Of course, these were 45 v 45 and 50 v 50 matchups. Good thing we almost always won!
