    Gelfling, new dark troop

For anyone who has ever watched dark crystal, I think these little buggers would be awesome to bring into the game, riding on their tall white bat like creatures.

The Gelfling would move a little slower than a hog and ride on the back of a large weird looking creature. Much like the witch it would summon small creatures throughout the battle, the only difference is these creatures would stay with the gelfling, protecting it from damage, as they would absorb the hits and die rather than the gelfling being attacked. The moment the Gelfling is attacked the creatures it has summoned would flock to the building at the speed of a goblin and attack it. The gelfling itself would lose the protection and could be killed off while the creatures are attacking the building. It would have the hitpoints similar to a wizard but with a low attack and its creatures would have the hitpoints of an archer and also a low attack, but these creatures could jump walls to get to the defensive turrets. The gelfling would also have a range slightly shorter than a wizard. It could summon a creature at the same rate a witch summons her skeletons

The strategy would be similar to the witch, dropping it back behind your tanks to buy it time to summon more creatures. 1 mortar attack; however, would likely kill all the creatures it has summoned, while a cannon or archer tower would cause it to send its flocks of creatures out. Unlike wizards and witches that once the scatter to the four winds get picked off, the gelfling would provide a short lived secondary defensive line. Because its range is shorter than a wizard or witch it will still pick up fire before them and although it would die relatively easily once its creatures flocked away from it, the creatures would still be taking damage while the wizards and witches moved in for the kill. This unit would be a hard counter to single target infernos. and do a fair amount of damage to other single target towers such as archer towers and cannons, but would weak against wizard towers and mortars.

If you want me to go further into stats I can, but abiding by the forum post guidelines I won't for now. I think it would bring something a little different to the table and adding one or two of these into a gowipe or gowiwi build would definitely add a little something to the build. It would also be a decent clean up unit for when you have secured their aoe damage as the gelfling can independently target its own buildings and its summoned creatures will target that spare cannon or tower.

Please give me any feedback you might have. Since I took the idea from the movie Dark Crystal, the name of the unit might need altered due to any copyright infringements, but I feel the idea itself is solid.

What is the difference between this and the witch since both have low health, low dps and both summon skeletons/creatures?

Witches don't protect her from damage and don't target defensive buildings
