Great post! This actually happens on a bigger scale for other online competitive games, many of them in fact, WOW, dota, sc2, warcraft3, cs, LOL, HON, alot more. In their case though they have the opportunity to be more competitive because war for them is basically 24/7. They have training teams and get payed to play. They all have tournaments for a large amount of prize money. I went to a starcraft tournament and the champion won 100,000 dollars.
And then theres LOL where the team won a couple million.
The pros get opportunities for jobs as they have a better understanding of the game. Less competitive players can still make a living off of streaming on twitch as well. Its pretty awesome that
clash is so big that players are getting sponsored.
Even though i would like to see a clash of clan tournament happen, i just dont see it because it is a mobile game and the huge majority of Players it seems, only play it casually so im afraid not a large enough fanbase will be watching. But who knows? Well see if supercell and the highly competitive players can make it happen. Im down to watch pros and learn from them.
