Not a fan of this idea, it would be used like certain programs, also would make attacking harder seeing as anyone could test their base out. My vote is to leave it as it is

I believe versions of this idea have been suggested before it's too exploitable..
i dont get how they can copy a base.. they would have to repeditively look at the other persons base
Most people who would abuse this probably have a second device that they can use to view the enemy base and the main account that would be copying the layout.
It it would be a small amount of players doing this compared to those who aren't, but those who do ruin it for everyone and get an extremely unfair advantage.

Yes it can be repetitive but for someone who desperately wants to take advantage of this for war practice, nothing is too hard.
However the OP suggested already that this feature would be unavailable during wartime. So maybe it could work. There is a better idea floating around there somewhere about the same topic, cant remember who made it but maybe you could just support that and just close this one. Its also here in IFR.
Don't get me wrong, I really could care less about this idea, devil's advocate though, the "exploit" people are talking about is pretty ridiculous.
The ONLY way this exploit will work is if you have the same town hall as the base you are attacking, the same level walls, level defenses, same troops in clan castle, same level BQ/AQ, same level buildings, drills, storage's etc.
First of all, lets say someone, a very vengeful individual, really wants to three star a base and, the 1/1,000,000,000 chance that they have the exact same base composition, the exploit for war would be, to recreate the exact base, recreate the troops they want to use, and are going to try different strategies multiple times (ridiculous amounts of elixir in the process) just to three star a base... That isn't an exploit, it is an extremely inefficient and time consuming strategy.
Now if it is for revenge and someone is going to barch a base. Lets say the drill is a level higher than the one in the base they "recreated". This is going to take the army extra time to kill (while other troops are killing other things, their troops are getting killed standing there shooting or swinging at the building). This small change can completely change where troops go and how the AI works. Maybe more troops go to help the building that you killed faster in your "test", maybe you have less troops going to the next building, then it takes longer, troops re calibrate what they attack. It snowballs from there.
But yeah, I don't care to have it, but lets stop saying it is an "easy exploit".

It IS exploitable. It doesn't matter what level the defenses are. What matters is the pathing the troops take. That's all you need to figure out where to drop your heals and rage spells. The minute changes you think happens to make it "snowball" from there would be insignificant if the troops are much higher level. Yes, weaker troops can lose but for those who do not have weaker troops, it's a distinct advantage.
This would be used mainly for war. I would create a separate account dedicated to mimicking other bases and attacking them. Heck, I'll have 10 different bases used to mimic other bases. It makes it much faster and much easier to maintain. I won't care how much it costs because these accounts are used strictly for exploitation.

It's NOT ruled out there buddy. Please get off your high horse and stop spouting cites and sources that are inaccurate. It is actually the FIRST thing in the list of things under consideration.
