Quick battle/skirmish option as alternative to a full clan war

Forgive me if this is already on the forum somewhere. I checked the list, and did some searches, but was unable to find anything that sounded the same.

I think it could be fun and helpful to add something like a battle or skirmish option in addition to the regular clan wars. These would basically be smaller wars of a shorter duration.

The participants could be limited to a max of 5, and the durations could be something like 12 hours for preparation day, and 12 hours for battle day, or 6/6 hours. Or maybe the starter could choose from a few predefined options (6h/6h, 8h/8h, 12h/12h).

In addition to giving clans with less than 10 members a war-like option, it could be fun for weekend war clans to do these quick battles during the week. Maybe for either their top 5 members that like warring more often, or their lower 5 members for a little practice.

On the war screen, there would be two buttons.. the current "Start War" button, and another "Start Skirmish" button. The battle starter would then be able to choose the participants in that battle in the same fashion they choose regular war participants now.

All the normal war rules should apply (non-participants couldn't donate to war castles, etc). And maybe these small battles could just be for fun & loot, but not earn clan XP, or some other differences to the regular wars.

    What does everyone think?

Something like this seems like it could fit in well now that players can opt-in/out of the wars. Maybe even add a 3 or 4 level opt-in/out (out, wars, battles, wars & battles).

I think the idea is an interesting one that could change CoC for the better. Perhaps with a little development it could be implemented.

I think this would definitely benefit clan familys and clans that want to practice in war.
