I thought it would be cool to get gems after you win attacks and defenses. If you get 1 star, you get 1, and if you get 2 stars, you get 3, and if you get 3 stars, you get 5. Also, can you please add an update so you can give resources to clan mates, including gems, that would be great! That way, you can get gems a little easier and you don't have to wait for obstacles to grow and gem boxes to come. Thanks!
The point of gems in CoC is that they are very valuable. It is perfectly possible to get 5 builders and still spend on boosts etc. just by completing achievments and clearing obstacles. Otherwise, farming for gems in lower leagues would be too easy. Players buying gems are the reason this game is free and ad-free.

You can boost and go to bronze league and attack 200 times with 3 stars pretty much. 1000 gems by using only 40 is a great exchange huh? Wait... They want revenue. Also, the gem price is fine. It was recently increased by taxes so increasing it again would it make it worse.
Trading resources with clan mates is pretty exploitable, I can make feeder accounts with any type of resource including gems.
If you wish the 5th builder so bad take a bunch of patience and snipe to champs
