    Application

Hello I am Jacob your clan let me join to tell me my troops and base were good enough but I left so I could apply on the forum. Because that is your rules. I am 20 years old, I raid Dailey I don't know an exact amount of times because it depends on the troop combination I am using. I have over 300 war stars, I can afford to do any type of raid even if the war is lost. I left my last clan because they did not do wars as much as I would like. I request any troops for farming I am not picky im happy with archers except for war attacks then I'm picky. I can donate as much as needed. I usually post my best and worse replays or any interesting troop combos I use I like to try new attacks on raids to find good attack combos for wars. I don't want to brag but I'm very good at using valks I can usually 2 or 3 star most bases with valks if its a good design to use them for. Every base needs a different troop combo and I plan every attack. I read the chat and talk and I watch a lot of war replays and chat replays. And yes I understand clan war dynamics like what troops should go in certain clan castles and how bases should look and be attack and basically everything else. Never go for loot in a war it's all about winning the war. I attack all types of bases in raids sometimes I find max bases just to see how certain troops do against them and I am open to any suggestion that can better myself. Hope to see you guys soon.

    2 Brothers looking for a War Clan (TH9 LVL 104 / 105)

We are both nearly maxed TH 9's who are in need of a large war clan. I am 18, my brother 19. Must be adults in clan, and organized/structured in their war strategy. We both are well versed in lavaloon, penta, shattered laloon, goho, holowiwi, gowiwipe, dragoon, etc.

We are interested in a clan that:

    - Boots dead weight
    - Takes war seriously
    - Actively chats
    - International
    - Utilizes a 3rd party chat app
    - Has a solid war record
    - Maintains good donation ratios

Please pm me if you have any questions!

Really Intersted in your clan: New TH9 Lvl 88

    Brian/Palladium
Sorry for the length. Just wanted to be thorough so you could see my interest and make the best decision possible. Thanks for your time. I also include a link to my base at the bottom.

    What is your in-game name?
    Brian
    Where are you located geographically?
    Ann Arbor, Michigan
Are you in a clan now? If yes, please provide the name. If not, why not (why did you leave your last clan)? If you are not in a clan, you will need to join one so that we may verify village level and troops.
Yes I am. I recently stepped down from leading a clan to level 3. We went 8-3-3 in my time there and I would exceed 2,000 donations per season. My friend and I were leading the clan together and we both decided it would be best if we could test the waters in other places. We were the best players in the clan and thought that it might be stunting our individual growth. I am currently in Palladium. I was applying to multiple clans and they happened to accept me first. I am still testing the waters, but want to settle down in strong warring clan. I am considering leaving because of the fact that they do not seem to have an effective communication system for war set up.
Are you applying to multiple other clans as well as this one?
I am applying to multiple different reddit clans. The one I am currently in contact with is Reddit Pirates.
    Activity Level

    Are you an adult?
Yes, I am. I am currently 21 years old and attending the University of Michigan. I am a junior in the Ross School of Business and will be working at Ernst and Young this coming summer. While I am young, I do like to think that I am mature.
    How often do you raid?
My raiding has been a little lackluster this season due to finals (will only reach 80 or 90 raids won). I tend to raid about 120 times per season.
Can you manage 3 wars per week, using both attacks for every war?
Yes, I expect to be able to manage that very easily. My last clan we warred twice a week without problems. Once more will allow for less farm time, but that is nothing that I cannot deal with.
Can you afford to donate frequently?
Yes, as I mentioned before I donated over 2,000 per season when leading my last clan. My donation numbers are generally lower because I did not donate or request in previous clans because I played it much more loosely.
What types of units do you generally request for general farming?
I generally do not request for troops for farming. I got out of the habit of it when I was leading my last clan, so anything at all works for me. I generally use 2 healers, 14 giants, 76 archers, 37 barbs, and 2 wallbreakers. Running some solver in excel (putting my education to good use) I found this to be the more cost efficient for what I was looking for in a composition.
    Do you post replays?
I generally do not unless I score a big raid, but I would be happy to post them to prove my raiding skills.
Do you watch replays? This is especially true for war replays. Failed raids are acceptable, but failed raids due to not watching replays and learning from mistakes made by other players (or yourself) is not acceptable. This is a question you need to take seriously because we will know quickly if you are failing raids due to not watching and learning.
Yes, yes I do. I created another excel worksheet that graded all of my clan members attacks and kept a history of stars and percent damage. This of course required my fellow co’s and I to re-watch all attacks. If the bottom was all cleaned up and there were leftover attacks, we’d have a lower person scout the base we were going to attack for us. This also required the use of replays if they were not watched live.
Do you read clan chat? This is an especially important question - clan wars require high level of activity/communication on battle days. You should be able to communicate what village you intend to attack on battle day and approximately when. As a new recruit, you need to show us you can be active on battle days. If we receive even the slightest indication that you cannot be active on battle days, you will be removed from the clan.
Yes, I rarely go that long without checking my phone, except for sleep. This means that I am generally caught up on the chat. I am interested if you are a stable clan if you use any external uses of communication like groupme, kik, or clashcaller. The former two would give notifications for each message which would make sure everyone saw the messages without having to be on clash. I know a lot of the competitive reddit clans use them and sounds like a great idea.
Can you manage your time appropriately in order to contribute to clan wars sufficiently? While this seems like an obvious question, you will be joining a clan full of players who take clan participation seriously. If you fail to do the same, you will not be a good fit. Similar to the previous question, you need to be active enough to know war circumstances and attack in a timely fashion. Any indication that you cannot meet this requirement will result in removal from the clan.
Yes I believe that I can manage my time effectively. I have had experience working 60 hour weeks over the summer at Quicken Loans and I have also had experience of managing my time during the school year with other extracurricular activities and a job. I can prioritize wars to make time in my schedule.
Are you likely to leave for another clan? If yes, explain. Please understand that this is not a 50-man clan, so activity level may not match a bigger clan. If this does not suit your interests, please look elsewhere.
No if this clan is as active and communicates as well as advertised then there would be no need to leave the clan. I take wars seriously, but I also want to enjoy my time in a clan. So long as I have some of these needs met I see no reason to leave.
    Clan Wars
Can you afford to train the best, most expensive possible army for your attacks for every war? For example, if your best war army costs 250000 elixir to train, can you afford paying for that twice per war and also do it even in the event of a lost war?
Yes I definitely can. I prioritize war over most things so it should not be an issue of cost. I make enough from farming that I can accommodate losing wars.
Do you understand clan war dynamics? For example, if you were our clan’s top village, what do you think your responsibility would be in a clan war? If you were at the bottom? Middle? Do you understand that your raids affect how a war plays out?
I definitely understand how the dynamic works. Before each war my fellow co and I would craft a war strategy telling who to attack who and with what comp. This had to happen because a lot of people did not understand the dynamic. If I were the lowest village, I could hopefully take out the lowest two, leaving the next lowest the change to go up to a harder village.
What is your main attack strategy for clan wars? Do you typically cherry-pick bases that you can exploit? Can you form a strategy that works against remaining bases late in a war?
I generally do what is necessary to win the war. If this means I take less loot to clean up, then I do that. If I have to go up and try and get 1 star out of my reach then so be it. I am proficient in gowipes, dragoons, and will be getting hounds soon to start “lavaloonion”ing. Currently I gowipe if air defenses are too strong or too well positioned, if not then I use my lvl 6 balloons.
    General

Are you open to suggestions about strategies and execution?
YES! This is the main reason I wanted to leave the clan I built from the bottom up. I felt like my growth was being stunted and want to learn in real life situations rather than just watching on YouTube.
Do you frequently challenge yourself by experimenting with new army compositions or by attacking villages outside of your comfort zone?
I actually do not. When not warring I am a big time farmer. In order to farm this requires getting good loot, but also requires low cost. I aim to maximize my profit each time. This means I generally stick to the same comp unless I am testing a new comp for war.
